Sydney - An Australian Roman Catholic who considers himself the rightful pope and claims to communicate with the Virgin Mary once a month was jailed on Friday for having sex with an underage girl in the cult community he led.
Self-proclaimed prophet William Kamm, who received a six-year sentence, showed the girl letters he said were from the Virgin Mary that blessed their union.
The 56-year-old, who is already serving a term for a similar offence, told the girl she was chosen by the Virgin Mary to help him populate the earth with his "mystical seed".
The abuse began when the girl was 14 and continued until she was 19, when she bore his child.
"It's difficult to understand how anyone could have been taken in by the offender, but clearly, many were," Judge Peter Berman told the Sydney court.
"It's remarkable that although many believed him to be god and that the writings came directly from the Virgin Mary, nobody thought to ask ... why he was incapable of spelling simple words correctly," the judge said.
An Australian Roman Catholic who considers himself the rightful pope ...
He is a former Catholic, having left the Church, and I believe in recent times he has proclaimed himself to be a divine being, rather than merely a Pope. He is also "humble" and calls himself "the little pebble."
He slept with many young daughters of his followers, and they continue to support him. The girl's mother oked the sexual relationship, and allowed him access to her other daughters - she should be in the dock beside him.
“The 56-year-old, who is already serving a term for a similar offence, told the girl she was chosen”
If he was already serving a term for a similar offence, what the hay gives here?
He went to jail SINCE then - the article is rather poorly expressed. This is his second trial, he is already convicted for another offense. Of course, there will be lots of others as well, which will probably never come to court.
Indeed - this is the road to hell.
The “Little Pebble” cultleader is fortunate not to be a real Catholic and a priest, I think he would get a much longer sentence. Six years for a deliberate repeat offender is light. Father Gerald Ridsdale, a Catholic priest in Victoria, got a total sentence of 24 years, in similar circumstances.

If he were a real Catholic it would be little boys, not little girls.
Thanks for the cheap shot at all decent Catholics. It’s bigoted, sophomoric and useless. Have a nice day now.
