We can thank “Viva Laughlin” for being the shortest scripted new show of the fall to last only 2 episodes for the race coming back 2 months early.

Now only 3 hours to wait and enjoy tonight's episode of Survivor.

People make fun of reality shows (and there are some dumb ones), but on the whole, reality shows are a whole lot more entertaining (and get better ratings) than unfunny sitcoms or PC dramas.

I actually don’t think I’ve hated any Survivor more than I’ve hated Courtney. And Sherea was such a bi***. She picked the 2 stupidest fights to get in. She’s got a serious temper problem.

I agree--except I was even happier to see Dave "The Leader/Former Model" go.

I was on Sherea's side until she got all bitchy at the tribal council. And what was that stuff she said about her being the "strongest player"? Delusional.

That's the way I've seen Sherea all along. I think Dave's leadership skills left a lot to be desired, but I always saw the conflict between Dave and Sherea as being mainly Sherea's fault. I never liked her and thought that Sherea should have been booted in Dave's place.

Now I can't wait for Courtney to go. I know that John Robert is not the most wholesome, clean, fun loving guy, but Courtney's dislike of him borders on obsession.

The merge is coming this week, and things could get interesting. Todd's alliance is playing things a little cozy and it wouldn't be hard for John Robert and Diane to begin picking up vibes that they're not too high up in the pecking order and it could drive them to hook up with the remnants of the other tribe...

The situation in China right now looks a lot like how it was on All-Stars at the merge.

All-Stars: Boston Rob/Amber at the top of the pecking order; Jenna, Rupert, Tom, and Alicia lower-ranking members of the dominant alliance; Lex, Kathy, and Shii Ann on the outside.

China: Todd/Amanda at the top of the pecking order; Denise, James, Courtney, Jean-Robert, and Frosti lower-ranking members of the dominant alliance; Jaime, Peih-Gee, and Erik on the outside.

Will the others realize the power of the dangerous duo of Todd and Amanda, or will they let them coast to victory like what happened with Rob and Amber in All-Stars?

It is fun to watch each week.

If these survivors were "smart", Courtney would have been gone a LONG time ago, especially after that frail attempt at cutting ropes. Of course "IF" they were smart, we wouldn't be able to yell at the tv saying what idiots they were and that would spoil our fun.

The ones in peril now will be John Rudebert for his lack of character and manners and James is now a threat for his strength, but these two will probably not be voted off until after they eliminate some of the other tribe first.

From the previews James finds the other hidden immunity and next week is definitely the merge per tvguide.

I would say most likely Jamie goes next. I believe Peih-Gee will use her conniving skills to hook up with the Todd, Amanda and the others in his alliance to carry her a little farther in this game.

This doesn’t apply to this season, because there are only 16 players, but it’s such a gyp when they get rid of extra contestants fast by having the “double tribal council” episodes where the tribe that wins the immunity challenge also has to go to tribal council. Punishing people for winning?

A better way to do it would be to have a merge at 11, then, at the first individual immunity challenge, Jeff drops the bomb: Whoever comes last in the challenge is automatically eliminated from the game. The remaining 10 then go on to a normal tribal council where one of them is voted off.
