The title on the BBC website at the time of posting was: "Star Wars duo 'least convincing'" .
If this should be in general section, could you put the thread there?

People actually think about stuff like this?

Personally, I couldn’t stand Elizabeth in any of the Pirates. I don’t know if it was Knightley’s portrayal or the character of Elizabeth itself.

Apparently...but I’d say that those two in the Star Wars prequel were least convincing, period - not just when it came to the on screen romance. For a long anticipated, big name movie it had some atrocious acting (Yoda and Obi Wan being exceptions).

I thought this is about C3PO’s and R2D2’s awkward relationship.

No, it is beneath such serious minds such as ours. But since you were the first to respond, let me tell you. Orlando Bloom has more to worry about than Depp. Even I could have stolen his girl in “Kingdom of Heaven”. Everyone in the theater could tell she wanted me.

The acting
was pretty bad.
Agree with you on Yoda's 'acting.'
Sort of pathetic when 'top actor' goes to a computer-generated animation (though Frank Oz did a decent job on the voice).
Ian McDarmid (spelling?) was more convincing as Emperor (even in Episode 3) than he was as Senator and Chancellor.

Of the six Star Wars movies
4 (the original) was the best. Still have two of the promotional iron-ons they gave away when it came out.
1 with Jar Jar sucked
And they were dead on about young A. and the princess. Every time they were together I was wondering “Why does she put up with that punk?”

Romance aside, personally of the opinion that R2-D2 and C-PO demonstrate a fairly good 'complementary relationship,' with bravery and crass spunkiness paired with cowardice and prim and proper decorum.
Have a somewhat similar opinion of the American-British relationship (in that the two cultures and peoples' stereotypes are complementary). .

Affleck landed inside the top 10 for a second time, with his chemistry with Kate Beckinsdale in Pearl Harbor failing to convince audiencesPearl Harbor

I miss you more then Michael Bay missed the mark
When he made Pearl Harbor
I miss you more than that movie missed the point
And thats an awful lot girl
And now, now youve gone away
And all Im trying to say is
Pearl Harbor sucked, and I miss you
I need u like Ben Affleck needs acting school
He was terrible in that film
I need u like Cuba Gooding needed a bigger part
Hes way better than Ben Affleck
And now all I can think about is your smile
and that @#$%^& movie too
Pearl Harbor sucked and I miss you
Why does Michael Bay get to keep on making movies?
I guess Pearl Harbor sucked
Just a little bit more than I miss you

And the article was number one 'most read' article on the BBC website.
This probably should have been put in the general/chat section--agree with you on that, though.

“Oh, Anakin, we mustn’t get involved,” she says.
