Barajas-Enriquez was immediately arrested and charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm and home invasion. Bond was set at $20,000, but there was also an immigration hold on Barajas-Enriquez, so he remained in jail. When I think things are bad, I find them far worse than I thought. Until the Newark murders, I'd never thought about how many "legal" criminal aliens we have here. I new we had a large number who came here illegally and committed crimes, but never thought of those who came here legally, committed crimes and were allowed to plead down to none deportable charges. We should not allow immigrants to plead down. If they commit a deportable crime that's what they should be tried for.
