This is a good site for browsing thru cute kitty pictures but this time it has the names of the puds right there with the pictures! So many times we rack our brains and come up with nothing ... finally resorting to Baby Name books ! So, peruse. Use. Or not. But add the names of your own cookie-pies? So we can all have a pool of names with which to consult should we run across that extra little mouth to feed in the sometime future and be forced to face The Dilemma once again.

The best way to name a cat is to name it whatever comes to mind when you are naming it.
Generally speaking two-syallbe names are best if you wan them to maybe recognize their name.
If you consistently call “Here Kitty Kitty” when you put out food after awhile they will come when they here the call.

Don’t have pictures of them but we have Indy, Jack and Kittygirl. Then there are the yet unnamed holy trio of terror known as the KITTENS!

/Kittens!! Oh you lucky lucky person you! It’ll be a long long time before I have any kittens again. I envy you. Kittygirl is an adorable name, though! I call my girl kitties that for a nickname at times. At other times, I call them lil’ monkeys!

We had NINE kittens at one time! Slowly but surely we’re finding them homes!
Kittygirl moved into our garage last winter, disappeared for a time during January’s icestorm and reappeared pregnant in February. She’s stuck real close since then!

I had one kitty who was born on the 4th of July, so she was named Miss Belle in honor of the Liberty Bell.
Current kitty is a former stray (um, excuse me, rescue kitty) who was first spotted by my vet stalking a finch. She is now named Miss Finch.

My cat is named Floyd. He’s not pink.

Well, we've had Beethoven, Odie (back in the day when there was a cartoon character, a skunk, named Odie Colognie), Vinnie, Sylvester (mostly called "Sly"), Lucy, and Iggie. All were homeless until they found a couple of good
suckers humans to take them in. All but Sly and Iggie have passed on over the years, Lucy most recently (not believed to be Chinese cat food related, she was almost 14 and diabetic).
One book I have suggests using names with "s" or at least an S sound in them, seems they like the sound--at least according to that book.

One should ponder a cat name for a while ... eventually a fitting moniker will come about on its own.
