He claimed Linksys wouldn’t exist without Linux, which is total bunk of course, most of their products never used Linix and the 54G that did had it ripped off. Whine all you want his claim is total BS and typical linux fanboism at the extreme.

Lie. He claimed "they would still be a niche maker of cheap hardware." How can you lie like that when the proof of your lie is just a few lines above it?

And he's right. Linksys was relegated to selling a few cheap hubs, cards and cables mainly through Fry's and Best Buy (both small chains at the time) until that router came out. That Linux router built up Linksys so much, selling millions of units, that they were worth half a billion dollars to Cisco only four years after its introduction.
