Ever want to know what your cat is trying to tell you? By listening to their meow and following the clues of body language it is easy to figure out what your cat is trying to tell you. The pitch, volume and amount of meowing offer the keys to unlocking the message you are being sent. Responding to your cats meows in a consistent way will help your cat know exactly how to tell you things. For starters here are the most common cat meows translated for us human care givers.
One short meow Translated : "Hello", "see me", and "hi" Explanation: A short meow is a just your cat saying "Hi" and making sure you see her.

Chloe is beautiful! Reminds me of kitties my sister had for years when we were growing up. She named the first one K.C. for Kitty Cat and the K.C. I and K.C. II ... by the time she was in high school, she was up to KC V I believe. Beautiful cats, tabbies. What an expression she has on her little bitty baby face ... !

Two words ... Bossy Boots.

Aha! Just as I suspected. He reigns superior to all that he sees, thinks about or even imagines. You are in major trouble. May as well sign the house over to him right now! You haven’t a prayer of holding on to it, lol. I know these things because I live with, excuse me, I work for Elliott the Siamese who rules all of Texas and beyond. Just ask him.

Both paws tugging on the beer can and his mouth watering always meant that Kink the Cat wanted his swig on the beer.

FYI - the screen material shown in those pictures IS called chicken wire. Perhaps there’s also some flimsier type of chicken wire you’re familiar with, but that’s the only thing I know as chicken wire.

This here is Zeke. Most mischievous cat I've ever had. He drags loaves of bread into our bedroom when he wants to be fed. Likes to bring his people his toy and insists that they play with him. He is also a master escape artist that sneaks out the door every chance he gets. Very good at bugging the crap out of my other two older cats.
Posing for the camera.
