In a courtroom filled with family members, Jose Carranza pleaded not guilty this morning to three counts of murder, attempted murder, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and weapons possession in the execution-style murders of three college students behind a Newark elementary school Saturday night. Carranza, 28, of Orange, wearing an orange jumpsuit, showed no emotion as he sat in court with his hands cuffed and communicated via a Spanish-speaking translator. Families of both the suspect and the victims filled the courtroom, though they said nothing. Mayor Cory Booker, Essex County Prosecutor Paula Dow and Sheriff Armando Fontoura were also in court. Carranza's bail was continued at $1 million. After the proceeding, sheriff's officers escorted the victims' kin out of the courtroom. Then, Carranza's mother and brother were led out. None spoke with the press. Assistant Prosecutor Thomas McTigue disclosed that there is an immigration detainer on Carranza. Carranza's attorney, Felix Lopex-Montalvo said his client is undocumented, an illegal immigrant from Peru. Carranza, who lives in Orange with his wife and a daughter described as 1 or 2 years old, was facing two sets of criminal charges even before police identified him as a suspect in the Newark triple murder. Court records show he was charged with aggravated assault and weapons counts stemming from a bar fight last October. In the more serious case, he was charged under an alias, Jose Larchire, with repeatedly raping a girl over a four-year period. The assaults began when the child was almost 5 years old, according to an indictment handed up last month. The alleged attacks ended in January. Carranza was free on bail and awaiting trial in both criminal cases when he turned himself in Thursday.

I have watched these Docs on prisons around the country and these hispanics are so silent and evil that even the hard core African~Americans shake in there boots.
The white dudes in prison who are a big minority really fear the hispanics litterally not even walking in areas considered the hispanic gangs turf.

Why this story is considered “chat” is beyond me. These three college students were executed in a most heinous fashion.
The story of coal miners trapped and possibly dead is a national story and so too should this one about wanton violence on innocent people who seemed to be doing nothing more than minding their own business.
Passaic county just to the northwest had upwards of 30% of inmates on INS violations in 2004.
This SOB should never have gotten out of jail, the judge who granted him bail should be disbarred, the elected officials and unelected bureaucrats in this state should be publicly shamed and ridiculed, the Non profits, advocacy groups and NGOs who are pushing for amnesty should be shunned and given no media coverage, and the local media excoriated for their absolutely disgusting agitation for criminal amnesty and illegal alien privileges and rights advocacy here.
This man, and the 4 others, were going to be given citizenship, with all associated privileges if the amnesty bill was passed into law.
You want to lower the crime rate in Newark? Removing illegal alien psychopathic child rapist murderers from the streets by demanding the empowerment of the Essex county sheriffs, Newark PD and Housing Authority cops to arrest and detain all illegal aliens that are detained for probable cause.
4 murders, 6.66% of the total murders in Newark this year, by ONE illegal. The media here won’t even ask the obvious questions, “How many of the murderers in Newark are illegal aliens?” :How many victims of murder in this city were murdered by illegal aliens?”
The police and prosecutors will not be forthcoming with the stats that would answer these questions either, because their cushy job security would come into question if it came to light.
Do not blame a brand new Mayor who came into office as an outsider, blame the NJ State Dem party, the James machine and the bussed in paid protestors they threw in front of TV cameras last week, the Illegal alien advocacy industry, the NJ Senators who voted FOR granting these murderers full citizenship, blame the special interests who have utterly destroyed the wage scales in Newark by employing masses of illegals and have enabled the residency of murderers such as this through their blatant violation of labor laws.
I think I need to abandon NJ before I have a coronary before I reach 30.

This story is a national news story and is being covered by all the major networks and cable outlets. As it should be.
I posted it to breaking news. Mods apparently moved it to chat. I share your opinion that this is a very serious matter - more so than the sad mining story. Mining disasters won’t destroy the country but illegals such a this will.

It is waaayyyy past time for the families of any and all people who have been injured or worse to file a Class Action Lawsuit against the United States govt to seek redress for the wanton disregard of the Constitution: Article IV Section 4 - “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.”
That “woman” on death row is a transsexual if I remember right. Killed a police officer.
The only person on death row who was killed was murdered by another death row inmate. I don’t think any have died of natural causes in some time. Life expectancy is pretty good there.
