The Hobbit Hole XXXIV - But better than rain or rippling streams...

Posted on 08/07/2007 7:52:15 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Then I accepted the NewJob.

Congratulations! Do you have to change locations, or is it in the same 'complex'?

Thanks. We’re supposed to go to the church missions auction tonight, but I’m not sure we’re gonna make it. If we don’t I’ll sit down with something to sip on and crank out some more words.

In other news, I got the offer from my insurance company. We are not amused...(and we’re not accepting it yet)...

Didja get to yell at them?

As far as I'm concerned they are. I've got a call in to ~her~ insurance company to yell at them. The adjustor on our end was quite abrupt and I've aleady let my agent know I'm not happy.

Next move is to say 1) attorney and 2) new insurance company.

In my view, since she hit him (and could have been charged with reckless driving), then she owes him a replacement car. So far the offer won't replace it.

sigh...well at least Luke is sick again.

Mrs. is on the way to pick him up. She has an appointment with the doctor if the wheezing is really back (which school nurse indicated it was).

I'm envisioning a weekend when I drink er...write quite a bit...

Tell the insurance company that they can give you a new car, or take jr. Either way, problem solved.

I decided to insert a whole section where the heroine reads the requirements document for a software system.

Or that’s how many words I get when I take five minutes every hour to type.

That’s like me turning the crazy old woman into a Greek chorus and having her quote scripture in my Script Frenzy last summer...

When you get home, let us know what the future holds. Will he require any further treatment?

I just woke up...worked last night.
