Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
The only drawback to starting first thing in the morning is not being about to think about actual work later. Of course that covers most of November. And October...
Great picture! You guys have such fun!
Ever now and then I will hear Matthew threaten Joshua that if he doesn’t do something or another, he’s going to make him into a prayer request.
Heh heh!!
...(While Steve was donating blood and because I couldn’t stay with him, I discreetly slipped the lady in charge of the bloodmobile a card with my cellphone number on it...in case he lost consciousness, which he’s done before while donating. Besides turning a little pale, he did just fine though.)
Somebody apparently missed the point of going to mass...
Yeah, no kidding. Nngh.
Of course, that’s ok, I finished everything I had envisioned so now I have to flesh out the next part.
Nah, going to church reminds me that all the little satan-spawn are hellbound anyway so not to feel sorry for them ;-)
Or something.
I need a trip to the Presbyterian church, apparently the Catholic stuff isn’t taking.
Yeah, a time or two I’ve wondered how you’ve handled that whole Reformed Catholic thing...
Unfortunately the nearest PCA church is about 30 minutes away so we don’t get there that often but we hit them every so often. I did suggest Buddhism but that didn’t go over well.
Heh...apparently your kids are *not* of the flower children generation. ;-) Bit of a contrast there...
Hey, what’s going on?...
Mrsnad
You tell us?
Not much, just work. Which for a change is going very nicely this morning. Started writing Nano (Nanowrimo.org) this morning and am off to a nice start. Maybe I will finally this year :-P
Life’s good? How’s g’nad? I’ve been praying for him and you both.
How are YOU doing???
Well, he is doing great. Surgery was shorter than expected. The docs were happy with the resection and he is able to talk and move his arms and legs...not sure if there will be any loss of use or not at this point. They are talking of sending him home on Sunday...so, wow!
My God is good and able to give abundantly more than we deserve or ask for. I am so thankful...so so thankful.
I’m off. I’ve borrowed a laptop from downstairs...will check in again tomorrow.
Drugs are our friends.
Mrsnad
Oh, that’s good! So glad that things went as well as could be hoped!
Mmm...drugs. ;-)
Praise the Lord! We’ll keep praying that there will be no loss of function at all and that g’nad is out hunting ASAP!
*Happy (spammy) dance*
:-D
