I’d love a teppanyaki grill sometime. It’d be great for cooking pancakes on :)

Trailer looks good! I still have not watched the last six episodes of this past season! Guess I’ll have to get the DVD from Netflix. We just got more interested in “Heroes”, and left “24” on the DVR. Then, when we changed from Dish Network, back to cable, I just forgot to watch them.

I like the red cabinets; I just couldn't live with them. Knowing my niece, though, they ARE her! She's just a funky little thing, and extremely artsy. She and two of her friends were featured in a New Orleans magazine shoot a couple of years ago, I'm not even sure what it was about, but they did the shoot in the hugh closet of one of the gals. LOL!

She's an excellent portrait photographer, working mostly in black and white. Some friends flew her out to CA a couple of years ago so she could shoot their wedding!

I decided I'd like one after having gone to Japan. We went to a little local restaurant that had tepanyaki grills at the tables You can stir fry your own noodles, etc. I had an okanomiyaki, which is basically a pancake, and it cooked up great!

I had frost on my van this morning. :-\ Guess it’s officially moving on towards late fall. Supposed to be in the low 30s every night for the next little bit.

Oh isnt it FUN when a character doesn't do what you want it to?? LOL

Yeah, about all i really have is a few opening paragraphs, but thats really about it. Everything else Ive done since then is speculate and when it came time to sign up for NaNo I thought why the heck not?

We'll see how I do LOL.

Here is who my female MC is going to look like:

Meet Deidre Montgomery - archaeologist

As for the Male MC - well, take a wild guess...wait for it...

.

.

.

.

.

.

Ta dat tada!!! You guessed it...(or maybe you didnt...)

Do I have a name for him?

Not really.

Is he American or Aussie?

Havent decided, and therein lies the problem...I dont know any Aussies personally, much less things about their military...I could make him an American, but I still dont know much about the military...or those who are veterans of the military. I DO know I want a strong military character, a character who will exemplify positive things about the military, not just as a romantic figure, but as someone who reflects the Good Guys we have in Iraq and Afghanistan.

For that alone I''ll probably never get published, but I really dont care...LOL I want the soldier to be everything we FReepers know to be true about our military (and its not what the MSM say about them!!)

Clear is good...

I think I need to get some of that foam filler stuff and go crazy around certain nooks and crannies, though; especially that back door. It’s been rather drafty.

I’ll take a look at that back door too, over the weekend. There might be a better way of sealing it up without making it useless as a door.

Car update:

Damage was more extensive than we thought. Both tire rims on the driver’s side are bent. One of the tires has a gash (but isn’t losing pressure...yet). Front end is out of alignment. Front bumper and grill are loose. Rear passenger door is caved in (although not as bad as it could have been). And...he’s got no brakes. Impact either blew out or cut the brake line and he lost all the brake fluid.

It’s at an insurance approved dealer. Her insurance has accepted responsibility. And I have rental car.

Thing is, his car is a 1992 Honda with 214,000 miles on it. It just might be totalled.

I love my life. Really, I do.

It doesn’t take much to total an older car like that. When my little Honda got hit, they totaled it and the repair was estimated at about half it’s value.

But I had it fixed. It was a good reliable motor in it and I liked the car. I got it fixed and had money left over. Take the total settlement, then decide what to do.

To: HairOfTheDog

Yeah, I don’t think he’ll be able to replace it for whatever the settlement is. We’ll see.

I think it’s too crooked to be sealable with just those sticky foam strips you can put around the outside of a door, or I’d go that route.
