Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

5302 - 5320 = killin’ me. rofl

I’ll snif to that.

Evenin’ folkses...
Geeeez I wish I could talk to ~somebody~ about this thing. Its really aggravating.
Girl, you need to get OVER that! ;o)
Which thing? For me, it's this interminable baseball season.
We were pretty dry for most of the summer, too, but we've had town water restrictions for the last 7 or 8 years, since the last big drought we had.
Take notes, give us a full rundown when you’re done! ;-)
If’n you’re allowed to do that...
Mmm. That recipe looks mighty tasty!
I loved typing. The guy behind me was such a flirt. Great fun.
There were white Southern folks who didn’t use that word; not many, but some. I don’t remember hearing it much around my house growing up, so I never got into the habit of using it.
Important facts:
1) He's okay
2) Not his fault
3) Minimal (at least we think) damage to his car, although he's hesitant to drive it (I understand).
Lady that caused the accident pulled out in front of Jr. trying to cross four lanes of traffic. Dark. Rainy. You know the drill. Jr. swerved to miss her, she hit his back passenger side and he hit a sign. Other three cars piled up trying to stop.
I suppose it could have happened the way she described it, if Jr. had been goin' about 125 mph.
Which, in his car, is about as plausible as Warp 9.
Oh jeez. Its always sumpthin aint it?
Eek! Glad he’s OK!
I take it the other driver is claiming he’s the one at fault? :-\
Which thing is the jury I’m on. CSI type trial. Fascinating and horrific and tedious all at once.
In the jury room its getting harder and harder to ~not~ deal with what we’re seeing and hearing. They better do closings pretty soon so we can deliberate, or we’re gonna ‘splode.
Yes, but the officer and the other three drivers saw it differently as well. I don't know if she got a ticket, but the report was written up that it was her fault.
They do let us take notes but I don’t think we get to keep them. I think they’re destroyed after the verdict.
I’m not a big note-taker and I’m already almost about to ask for another legal pad. Others are on their second legal pads already.
The judge’s assistant guessed today when we had her in the jury room that we’d probably see closing args on monday. But that’s just a guess.
Best case I think delibs will go for a couple of days just to get through the material.
I'm sitting on a committee that is supposed to fix everyone's problems. One of my proposed solutions is to get senior management to make a clear statement about how they expect a certain "process" to work and how they expect cooperation, flexibility, and support from all levels of the workforce toward that end.
A member of the senior management team looked me in the eye and said, "That'll never happen."
"Then your problem won't get solved."
"Uuuuuh, I don't think I understand."
"Muh point exactly."
I might be checking myself into a mental health clinic in time for NaNo.
Good, because the insurance would definitely try to pin it on him. My little sister was in an accident a couple years back, no physical way it could have been her fault (dude with a trailer decided to make a left turn around the left turn lane) and the insurance still tried to say it was 50/50 her fault.
