Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
Not. Motivated.
But it’s nearly Friday....
Yeah but!
Not nearly nearly enough...
I get the afternoon off tomorrow. So we’re having a dumpster delivered so we can clean out the garage and basement :)
There's no place like home!
I have a dishwasher.
It’s not installed, it’s not in the house, we haven’t paid for it yet (going back to Home Despot after dinner) and it won’t be ready to use for a couple weeks when we do the plumbing but - I have one.
I love power tools.
Heh, when my #3 brother went off to the AF Academy, my Daddy was remodeling a large room in our house in order to move the kitchen there from a small space on the other side of the house. He had just about finished the work when Gerry came home for Thanksgiving, but he hadn’t installed the dishwasher yet. He made my sister and me crawl in the open cabinet before he showed Gerry ‘our new dishwasher’. LOL! He didn’t get it installed in time for Thanksgiving, so we WERE the dishwashers at the time!
It’s in the house now... shrinkwrapped and not to be installed for a while...
But you can still put dishes in it, right?
Thank you for answering my question... I have another one though (I am reading the books, just finished TFOTR, now reading TTT).
From the movie... why is Wormtongue beginning to cry as Sauramon sends his troops to Helms Deep?
No, it’s shrinkwrapped.
Because he has betrayed his own people and perhaps has some mixed feelings about that.
Good morning thread!
Happy Friday!
That seems logical; I always felt that maybe he was thinking specifically of Eowyn being killed.
Could be. His tears may be a movie invention... I don’t remember from the books if there was any regret on his part.
I always took it to mean he felt some horror at what he’d done when he saw the magnitude of that army.
That'll do it.
