The Hobbit Hole XXXIV - But better than rain or rippling streams...

Posted on 08/07/2007 7:52:15 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Hey all... for anyone looking for plot (or sub-plot) ideas, check out this page: The TV Tropes Wiki. It lists common tropes/cliches used in television, movies, literature, comics, etc. Fascinating reading!

Well, fascinating to me anyway. :-/

Check out the Shelob on our porch! She's HUGH! She just bundled up Mr. Frodo moments earlier.

I think you’ve gone beyond “sporting use” there.

Good going.

Evenin’ all. Busy day here.

Spent the mornin’ workin’ with the brother-in-law. He came over to help put wainscoting in our downstairs half bath. When we did the floor, we took out a cabinet and put in a pedestal sink. So we’ve been staring at drywall tryin’ to figure out how to make it match the textured walls above. Then we said fergit that. Construction part is done, still need to caulk and paint.

I spent some time on thebuilding. Finished the floor and got the back wall framed and mostly done.

Had to stop because it was time fer the nayberhood picnic. A good time was had by all. Would still be there, but with the night air (it’s about 60 right now, I was beginnin’ to hack up another lung). So we came home.

Headin’ to thelivinroom in a minute to veg out.

I think you want 300W’s lastest lead-launcher for that one.

I’d use the scope.

Better yet, take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.

Not a big believer in safeties, I guess.

a competent shooter is the best safety... I never rely on a safety... it's just a little extra assurance...

Now for the naked part ... naked masked female assassin?

Wouldn't she be sorta obviously out of place in a men's sauna? ;o)
