Pick a random 80s pop song somehow (turn on the local radio station, set up a playlist, something, but make it totally random). Then, create a character who fits this song. For bonus cred, have the song title or a lyric play at some point in the story...

I’m thinking transitional or contemporary. I looked at some of the “traditional” styles but thought they were too frilly. Something with clean lines and hangs down rather than up. It has to be less than 20 inches across and preferably between 10 and 20 inches long.

That’s going back aways, I recall scenes from the first movie I saw, a re-release of Gone with the Wind at the drive-in.
The Disney Movies were more the usual fare. Davy Crocket on the big screen. Fess Parker and Buddy Ebsen, watched later on TV as well. Probably sparked my interest in Flintlocks and weaponry in general. Speaking of The General - the Great Locomotive Chase.

Back from dropping off the bike to get fenders (*snif*), and I picked up my ten dollar chair. It’s a pretty darned good ten dollar chair, though it came from a questionable place. Lots of artisty types. It’s worrying me a bit that Tam has instantly taken possession and is treating the thing like it’s catnip. Is pot related to catnip?
