Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
You has some!
Now that’s a snowfall. Goodly amount on the ground too. Hmm, three months, give or take, till spring. Good Luck.
+ = an interesting future scarf.
Whatsit? Something fuzzy and a matching worsted type to make it easier to work with?
I’ve never had to live anywhere where the snow on the roof was a problem...and, dear Lord, may I never.
It’s purty, but I’d just as soon look at the pictures.
Jr. is having a few friends over for The Orange Bowl.
Go Tech Go!
In other newz, turns out the color issue with the Wii was just two reversed cables. The red ones were in bass ackwards. So once we switched them, color problem solved.
Much more better than the answer we got which was “if it’s not the cable, the Wii is defective.”
I was just funnin' Talon 'cause of all the rumor threads.
Yay!
The one on the left is Lion Brand Homespun - a chunky multi-colored squiggly yarn, the one on the right is Bernat Boa - a fuschia & purple eyelash novelty yarn.
Ha! Clare will be ready to come back down to S. FL after vacation. It’s 3 degrees overnight here! But next week it’s supposed to be up into the 40’s everyday, so that will ease her transition from the Frozen North back to the Sunny South.
Yikes! That looks cold! I don’t think the snow in our front yard will be melting until March!
Well, I knew that, thus the running smilies! ;o)
Nice looking thread. Is that blue and hot pink?
Nice to know the old fixes still work!
Well it’s supposed to beup to 80 by next week here in north central Florida (low in the mid 50’s). Should be a few degrees warmer in south Florida, especially the lows.
It would be strange to have the weather be that variable.
So - how does Florida handle a little cold? Were the roads icy? I bet the snow birds felt a little cheated ;~)
Indeed, GO TECH GO - beat KU.
(We dislike the Peoble’s Republik of Lawrence and their Jayhawks, yes we do)
