The Hobbit Hole XXXIV - But better than rain or rippling streams...

Posted on 08/07/2007 7:52:15 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Insurance can be a pain in the butt, but it’s better than the alternative.

We had an almost “oops” with Nana on Coumadin. Her doctor had no record of it, and her doctors in NC had NEVER checked her blood levels. She’d been on it for 2-3 years.

If she’d had the first surgery without them knowing it she could have bled to death.

What with the new year and all...is it time to move yet?

Though I guess we’re running out of useable poetry lines, aren’t we?

Mebbe we could start using chapter titles, minus the long expected party?

Yep, I'm Back. Flight was about an hour late. Miss Cat seems to be over the stress...although she continuted her tradition of peeing on me on the way to the airport (Sister drove and I had her carrier on my lap.) I'm going to take a shower now....I smell faintly of cat pee.

Thanks for checking in, we were beginning to get concerned. Glad Miss Kitty is over the stress; she had a long trip, and dang, it’s very cold out there!! Gypsy stayed curled up in a little ball and wasn’t at all concerned when she didn’t get her walks. LSA

It’s getting a bit unwieldy, though. Hard to go back and find anything.

YIKES! Well. I’m on a low dose, and I’m hoping it can stay that way. I talked to the Doc tonight, and he’s set it up for me to get the blood test in the morning.

Heh, we’re getting down to 4 tonight, and only up to about 15 tomorrow. Nasty! At least the roads were cleared after the last storm so we won’t have hugh ice floes to drive over!
