This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)
I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

Dakota Sunrise, the good kid I think you like, is getting a new barrel horse this week, an 11 year old mare who has gamed before, she’s got pictures and is an attractive mare, but is in ‘rescue’ condition now. Hopefully that will work out.
She was all thrilled about that, but then one of her goats died in a freak accident so that’s weighing on her. She’s a good kid.
Not much else to report from over there... same petty crap, same repetitive debates :~)
Well good for Dakota...sure hope she doesn’t run the poor thing to death..I’ve gotten the impressions she is a speed demon:)
I clicked on over there this morning, but landed up just scrolling thru the page one time...not real interested right now in peoples horse problems:).
You can post something over there if you want...I guess if I come back there someone may ask where I’ve been. Might be better for them to know.

Oh, and I wish you all could be here too:)...
But we are making it fine...I have absolutely no doubts I’ll be with Mack again someday, and that is a comfort. He’s in a better place, and finally feeling good.

OoshyBooshy, that’s COLD! We’re still in the 40’s today but it’s supposed to get down in the teens tonight and not much above freezing tomorrow, then it’ll warm back up for the weekend. There’s a chance of rain for Saturday, but Sunday might be nice enough to squeeze in a ride. I’m ready! We didn’t go last weekend because it didn’t get out of the 20’s. I used to would go in those kinds of temps, but not anymore. I’m turning into a wimp in my old age! ;o)
Where are y’all going to go eat?

Don't matter much to me. Ya'll need to come down and try Oak Mountain sometime.
Hmmmmm, that’s a possibility I guess. I’ve never been there. Let me check with Kari and Shirley and see if they want to go. The 3 of us could all go in my big trailer. You’ll have to send me directions though.
We can do Oak Mountain anytime if they can't this weekend. When we do go I will just meet you on I-65 in Fultondale and you can follow me. It is a straight shot from there to the park actually.
I intentionally didn't title it as a prayer request, because I didn't want it to get moved into that Spiritual Forum with all the oddballs there. But we'll see. ;~) Hoping you enjoy reading through it later, if some relative strangers wishing you well is any comfort at all.
That’s a real good picture you posted over there and a very well written post. Thanks for doing that. I’ve been wishing that I’d taken a good close-up of them together when we were out there. That just goes to show that you never know when “the last time” is going to be and we all need to cherish each moment we have with our friends and family as if it were the last time.
I had to crop in and cut you and the others out of it :~) Sorry... but it was a good picture of the two of them :~)
No problem! It's a much better picture that way, because it gets the close-up on them and cuts out all the clutter. Very well done.
So sorry to hear of Lary’s passing, for your sake, but I know he is with the Lord, and free from the travails and pains of this life. May God comfort you in this time of loss, and shine His Light upon you and your family.
