This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)
I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
I wonder if the lightning bolts will show up ;~)
He has considerably more spring in his step today...
I like how the focus turned out in this picture :~)
What happens to Rocky is up to Mack. He’s actually Mack’s horse. We would like to sell him, but haven’t found a buyer. It wouldn’t hurt my feelings at all to get down to one horse:)
Becky
:) And I’d love for you to have one of my apps.
Nooooo - don’t sell Rocky. He’s on my list for when I win the lottery.
Honestly, you would want to breed to an Arab. Then you could register the baby (I think) as a half Arab.
I know I could register bred to an Arab... :~)
Just wondered about an Appy and what the current rules are.
If I bred her to an Arab I’d want to breed her to a big Polish horse like Bay... Someone with just a little more movement and stride might give her baby a little more grace than her momma.
I’ve said this before, but I really like the looks of Tuffy. I think he’d make a nice lower level dressage horse. There’s a picture of him that you posted recently with his head tucked, and he had a nice stride at the trot. He looks like he has a decent head on his shoulders, too, not making a fuss with the deerskin.
So far Sonny is 5 for 6 on color, don't know about the filly born this spring to someone else, I'll have to call and see. Sam is going to be a red roan. However, genetically, going by his color pattern, (sonny's that is) he shouldn't be capable of throwing 100% color. Who knows.
OK - thanks :~)
He is so incredibly laid back I’m amazed every time I watch him. So far, he’s not gotten upset about anything and the only fuss is if he’s done working and Janelle is just sitting on him visiting. He’ll paw the ground a time or two until she says cut it out. We changed the angle of his feet from when the trainer had him and he is so much smoother now, and no longer over reaching or clipping himself.
That reminds me, we still need to get Cyn's registration transferred to us.
Heh... yeah - we do... maybe while she’s still living. :~)
That is sad. I hadn’t seen him post much lately and figured he was probably just busy. So sad.
Yeah he always seemed to think it was funny when we started talking about painting the planters:’)
I’ve had Okie longer and still haven’t transfered his papers yet:’)
Oh, no! We were chatting about something not all that long ago! Very sorry :-(
