This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)
I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

Loved the ride yesterday, the scenery was really neat. The little creeks everywhere are neat. I don’t know why we don’t have all the running water they have, we’re the ones who get all the rain! :~)
We’re just sitting here talkin’ about all the trails we’ve been on this week. I sure have enjoyed riding Rocky :~)
Today’s schedule is the Pumpkin Patch, a hike to the caves, and supper at a neat place in Jenks.

You think you will have problems with these winds coming thru? We broke a record yesterday. 92 degrees.

We regularly have winds up to 40-50mph here, building codes are for 80mph winds and we've had that on occassion. A friend of mine in Oregon that used to live here said about the winds and storms up there "just a breezy day in Carson City"
The major difference is that we don't have the huge trees to come down and rarely have enough rain to loosen roots. We just lose shingles and tin roofs, etc. Oh, and frequently have 18 wheelers turn over because they didn't believe the wind warnings.
