If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

I must say..I have the same dependency on my coffee..LOL
This summer flew by and the lovely poetry expresses my yearning for it to stay awhile..It usually lingers here in my part of Texas, thank heavens.
I love long daylight hours and plenty of sunshine..I start dragging when it gets dark early. I’ll be posting spring flowers in January to combat the gloom.

Once during an annual physical the doctor asked about the beverages that I drink. My response to him was plenty of coffee. Of course he asked just how much, so I told him about 20 8 ounce cups a day. He being the doctor offered his advice to reduce the amont of consumption. So during the next physical the same question came up. I told him 10 cups a day. He was satisfied with the answer., What I didn’t tell him was that I went to 16 ounce cups.
I may retire in a couple of years or sooner. It depends upon my mood. I love hot weather and am planning to move to the Phoenix, Arizona area.
Always look forward to seeing your flowers.

Yep, she is hiding still. She is not responding to my coaxing her with treats. I guess she is really upset. LOL

LOL don’t you know she owns you?? You have disturbed her and now you will pay, if she warms up by evening consider yourself lucky. ;0)

I won’t tell...I try to keep it to the 10 cup limit.
Chilly summer evenings in California were strange to me. California is a gorgeous state and I did love it when I lived close to the beach..but Texas is my home and here I belong.
I love to find the flower pictures and post them..so thank you!

Most Californians wear a short sleeve shirt during the day and sweater at night. Fortunately my body doesn’t react that way. It is short sleeves for me most of the year. I do get some crazy looks.
Was that the 16 ounce size? LOL
It is difficult to say where I belong. I have been a lot of places. My stay in California has been one of my longest stays. I got used to moving every 18 - 24 months while I was in the military and 26 - 30 months as an employee for DoD contractors.

WOW, amazing isn’t it?? Kind of makes one feel marginalized.
Must be the way our parents felt regarding our generation. And now we may not be around to see the 2023 grads. Yikes, eye opening for sure.
To: NY Attitude
That is superb. Regretfully it made me feel obsolete but on second thought, that’s a good thing.

Is there a silver lining in that video. To think that Britan is looking into the so far into the future is scary. Will there eventually be a second Boston Tea Party?

Maybe, but I don’t think it would be in Boston. These people are too mucked up.

You know that old saying there is no rest for the wicked? Well, that layer of dust that accumulates to protect the belongings was getting to me. So... I did the unthinkable and dusted and eventually vacuumed. Well the vacuum stirred Calli from hiding spot. Like you said, she probably won’t come out for days. LOL

What do you mean about Britain looking into the future? They look to be cornered to me.

Okay, maybe I mis-read the presentation while I was multi-tasking.

Oh dusting is a terrible job, I hate doing it, but it does become necessary to do it.
Well, I must have been resting while you did your cleaning thing, poor Calli can’t get a moments rest! LOL

It was me. I went back and looked at the presentation a couple of times. I misread it. However, I do know that China, Israel, Britain and the US are making great strides in technology. Some for the good of humankind and some not so good. The oneupmanship that countries play with each other with respect to technology certainly can lead one country to be total dependent upon that country and at a very dear price. Hence, the Boston Tea Party remark.
