If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Good morning everyone!!Click!
Meg33 has provided a most lovely place for our brunch this Lord's Day.
I thought it would be nice to combine some humor along with inviting our beloved Military to join us.
Chef Tude has done a fabulous job on the menu.
Thanks to both of you.
It is my wish for those in the Military may have a wonderful reunion as depicted in the You Tube Presentation.
God Bless America!

WOW I can imagine those White Winged Doves, must be a beautiful site to see.
Our weather here is fabulous, had a massive cool down last night. We had severe winds, pouring down rain, dangerous lightning and thunder storms. Changed the entire weather over night. In fact the storms have knocked out my tv cable so I have no idea what the temps are other than it’s pleasant.
Our skies are cloudy now no sunshine yet. Looking for a restful day.
To: Soaring Feather
Thanks, it was my pleasure.

How’s the day shaping up for you??
Kicked back for me, back to lower temps and higher humidity. TV still out in the living room. I called for service and was patched through to a recording and promptly hung up on. UGH!
To: Soaring Feather
The temp at the site is 59 degrees, overcast and higher humidity. The day is progressing slowly here. We cannot have any entertainment here while on post. Sorry to hear about your TV. I hate when service organizations don’t seem to care about customers. hope that you are getting stronger with each passing day.

Yes, stronger with each passing day, back to what is normal for me. Half crazy and lost! LOL
To: Soaring Feather
I hate losing cable! Bummer..Right now a good rain would be welcome here...without the rough stuff you had.
I did get a bit of pruning in at the front while it was still morning cool... (for Texas in August)..
The white wings are easily spooked and take off in a great flutter all at once..That was the largest flock this summer..I have about 10 “regulars”

Just after that violent storm last night, firetrucks passed by my house and stopped on the corner. I went out on the porch to nose around and noticed they were removing tree limbs and such, then early this morning I heard a chain saw running, so without a doubt there is plenty of tree limb damage around our entire area.
The storm came up so quickly it was amazing, very high treacherous winds, blowing, pounding rain, with the heavy electrical storm was kind of spooky for a few moments. And the storm lasted a good hour, decreasing in high winds only and less tense rain, but the electric storm last a long time. I do have a tv in my bedroom, it is not as complicated as the one in the living room-this one allows for multi-viewing options, full cable service and music channels as well. It has a special box allowing these features and that is what is messed up. Oh well, I can go into the bedroom and read and have tv on mute or at least the weather channel. That tv has it's own line same as my internet connection.
Would have loved to have seen the Doves. I hear morning and evening doves cooing around here, love those sounds. ;0)
To: Soaring Feather
I grew up with mourning doves and love their song..These doves do not coo as much nor sound so sweet but I do enjoy having them as they”hang out” here..when others are scarce..I just saw 4 mockingbirds in the front yard a chasin’ and “displaying”..They are rarely at the back...too wooded, I suppose.
I have been through those electrical storms and high winds..
They can get spooky...and down big trees.
