I hate losing cable! Bummer..Right now a good rain would be welcome here...without the rough stuff you had.

I did get a bit of pruning in at the front while it was still morning cool... (for Texas in August)..

The white wings are easily spooked and take off in a great flutter all at once..That was the largest flock this summer..I have about 10 “regulars”

Just after that violent storm last night, firetrucks passed by my house and stopped on the corner. I went out on the porch to nose around and noticed they were removing tree limbs and such, then early this morning I heard a chain saw running, so without a doubt there is plenty of tree limb damage around our entire area.

The storm came up so quickly it was amazing, very high treacherous winds, blowing, pounding rain, with the heavy electrical storm was kind of spooky for a few moments. And the storm lasted a good hour, decreasing in high winds only and less tense rain, but the electric storm last a long time. I do have a tv in my bedroom, it is not as complicated as the one in the living room-this one allows for multi-viewing options, full cable service and music channels as well. It has a special box allowing these features and that is what is messed up. Oh well, I can go into the bedroom and read and have tv on mute or at least the weather channel. That tv has it's own line same as my internet connection.

Would have loved to have seen the Doves. I hear morning and evening doves cooing around here, love those sounds. ;0)
