[Soaring Feather]

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Thanks, I am trying to stay “a well preserved feather as Lady Jag suggested yesterday.” ;)

I remain taking this slowly to regain strength, I think it is working. Staying grateful for any gains I have made.

The graphic is one of my top faves. Poe is a great poet IMHO.
He suffered gravely from a lot of mental distress - in those days there was not much help for those disorders. And public opinion was in the Dark Ages- people were exposed to emotional and mental pain from both sides of the coin.

Glad to hear that you are getting stronger with each passing day. When I was a child in Philadelphia, I visited the house where Poe wrote “The Raven”. I got to learn things about Poe through a class project. Work projects have been horrendous lately. Been extremely busy as of late.

The Chaffinch in the Lion’s den.

And so by choice, we built our nest atop a plastic tree. Two finches, utilising the bars of the big cat’s enclosure. No other predator would venture past the lion’s tooth or paw. We flit with ease on our daily commutes. And oft we rest, and watch the humans, left to right, right to left. Dropping sticky lolly papers Dragged from post to tapiers Competing for the longest nose The adults point, the children squint And yet before our eggs could hatch, Simba saw our freedom. Now the humans came in droves. This magnified re-enactment of everyday domestic fare. The big cat shakes the tree till the little bird’s no longer there. Perhaps even a cage of your own choice, can be envied by those with none. Then again, at least we had the key. Danny Reynolds

Well, we have had a drastic cool down in weather overnight. It is much cooler with much lower humidity, sun is out and it’s very pleasant weather.

Hope your weather is accommodating and pleasant.

I am much better today after having had a long stretch of sleep! ;0) Appetite has returned in full force LOL.
