If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Sense and Art
At dawn the sunlight paints the canyon wall
In masterful blending of colors in solar fire
As if above the canyon floor all is a pyre
While here in the canyon deep sweet peace falls
Gold Tanagers sing a soft dawn song on the lawn
As the warming rocks crack in a percussive beat
And dusk to dawn comes and goes so very fleet
A moment too quick to capture before it’s gone
We must wait the day away to begin this moment again
And to treasure it again as if new and never known
For the magic is partly within us all each alone
And so we are part of the moment the magic wins

Hi Meg!!
I tried to capture some of the energy from WayzataJohnn’s poem.
I am getting stronger everyday thanks. Today I need to go for more blood work-watching me due to the blood thinner I take daily. Antibiotics mess with it and my blood is too thin now.
