I mentioned on the weekend thread that French President Nicolas Sarkozy was visiting the US in New Hampshire instead of European resorts. Apparently, he got into a brouhaha with reporters yesterday while boating. He jumped into the AP reporter's boat and let him have it verbally in French. I guess he takes vacationing with his family very seriously and when he says I want to be alone, he means it. ;-)

I got a late start today, our phones have been out all day, at least it wasn’t the electrcity. cloudy most all day helped but clouds gone now and boy, it is hot.

Coolish here. We had a little rain last night, thank goodness.

We should be about ready for our afternoon thunder shower, we get one every day it seems like and it really cools things down. The predict 110 t0 115 degree heat index today, BUT you know it is, soon we will be griping about the cold weather.

I heard a little thunder awhile ago...saw dark skies to the east of me....all gone now. DRAT. The themometer in my kitchen w/the wire outside the window on the SW side of the house showed at one time today 110 degrees. It’s now 106. (When I start whining, I remind myself that our troops endure that kind of heat all the time while wearing pounds and pounds of equipment. God love and protect them!...and STOP whining, CM.))

Yikes! That’s hot. Drink lots of water, CM.

I’m almost on a liquid diet, lysie!....water, tea, coffee, juice. I’m having an easy supper...BLT and iced tea...maybe some cold watermelon too. Looking forward to that ONE day of 93 degres the weatherman is promising for this weekend....just wish that some water would fall from the sky as well.

Everyone is doing just great, D is giving it a little time with TJ before getting the second child and he is adjusting just great. I am telling you, two peas in a pod, he and Tracy.

The bodies that were removed from the bridge collapse yesterday were that of a man and the pregnant Somalian woman and her 2 year old child. Still no Christina.
