I mentioned on the weekend thread that French President Nicolas Sarkozy was visiting the US in New Hampshire instead of European resorts. Apparently, he got into a brouhaha with reporters yesterday while boating. He jumped into the AP reporter's boat and let him have it verbally in French. I guess he takes vacationing with his family very seriously and when he says I want to be alone, he means it. ;-)

Yes, it’s beautiful here. Very rugged in some areas, others just more beautiful in a pine mountain sense.
Hope to get some golf in today or tomorrow. It’s been so long since I played (injury all last winter) that I’m sure to be struggling. But I only approach it to have fun so it’ll be Okay.

Our house is in deep S. Texas (as it is called) We are heading that way slowly but surely.
LOL, no snow....but it won’t be long. In this area, they usually get snow starting Oct. and snow that stays by November.

It's 103 degrees here right now. When I went to PetSmart just now to pick up my newly shampooed and shorn doggies, I pulled up to the door to keep them from having to trot over the hot pavement. They are happy to be home now! No wonder...air conditioning, fresh water, afternoon snack and a nap time snooze....just like little children. LOL
Think I'll have another glass of iced tea....

That is great, my dogs AND chickens plus turkey are laying out under a shade tree TOGETHER! all of them laid back, I got a big pan of water out for them out there and every once in a while one will mosey over and take a sip.
Me? layed back in my shack in the back, fan going full blast and the air is on cold plus cold. Radio just reported 108 heat index and 98 real heat. ‘That’s what I like about the south’, huh?
You see where China is sending us anti-freeze tooth paste don’t you? Recall this one, recall that one. I don’t have that problem, mine are in a glass sitting on a table.
We got our weekly ‘bring a dish’ at the church tonight and last week we had over a hundred come, all home cooked grub, good fellowship, all the ladies pitch in and clean up afterword's. I think this is one of the big draw we have there.

Surely we are going to get a break on this weather soon.
My place needs cutting but that is a no-no, orders from the boss.
lysie, I am so tired of going to doctors, this happens about every four to six months, my heat doctor wants to check this, check that and I am getting tired of getting punched by a needle and I ask the nurse today if she could just get a whole bunch at one time in different tubes and I would take them around, Course she said no.
