Please don't zot me for asking this, but what is a "click"? Such as "two clicks down that road"?
Posted on 08/05/2007 1:40:04 PM PDT by Cringing Negativism Network
As a civilian, I've always wondered when watching movies when the good guys mention the word "click" as a measurement of distance. (usually in the context of a Vietnam movie, or something similar).
What's a click? A kilometer? Does it reference a click on a rifle sight adjustment? Is this a dumb question? :)

The navy is the worst..... Ranges in nautical miles.....speed in knots....muzzle velocity in feet per second....and don't forget to take into account the angular rotation of the earth. The Navy was a piece of cake since the Chief Engineer loved to explain the nautical jargon to me:
"For the benefit of the Doc, we should explain that the 'bow' is the pointy end of the ship." :-)

A "click" is what you do on the "X" in the upper right corner
of your monitor when you read something fully demented.
Like right now.

Okay, how many bytes in a kilometer? (I’m kidding.)
A bear walked one kilometer due south, one kilometer due east, one kilometer due north and ended up exactly where he started from. What color is he?
