I recently tuned in to the Radio Factor to hear Bill O'Reilly saying that he was hated by Freerepublic and that it was an extreme right wing blog. First of all, Mr. O'Reilly is not hated. I have a lot of respect for the man, his honesty, integrity and point of view. What I don't like, as do many Freepers, is that when he is on target on some key issues, he is way off target on others. He needs to realize that we even disagree amongst ourselves quite often. I get my daily dose of talk radio, Rush, Dr. Savage, Boortz, Levin and O'Reilly. Why does he always have to thrash a conservative i.e. Ann Coulter in the same breath when he's zapping a liberal? Let's just say that when some of us disagree with him, he needs to be "de-spun" on occasion. It's called "tough love" Mr. O'Reilly. The Great Oz has spoken.
I am not a fan of Bill O’Reilly. He is not in the same mold as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, and other conservatives on the radio. Whenever O’Reilly attacks the left, he is dead center but when he attacks conservatives, he is way off the mark.
O’Reilly needs a fact check whenever he comes up with these smears toward conservatives because there is no hate coming from us FReepers.
The only good thing about Bill O’Reilly is he drives Keith Olbermann off the deep end on a nightly basis.

He's not that professional, Jim.
He's more a wanna-be popinjay in training, I think.
LMAO I am not impressed.
I'm not going to call Bill O'Reilly a liar... yet, but...
Posted on 07/31/2007 8:35:37 PM PDT by Jim RobinsonI'm not going to call Bill O'Reilly a liar... yet, but... on his TV show today, he read off a laundry list of ridiculous "hate" statements like "I hate blacks," "Hillary should be assassinated" and "homosexuals are dogs" that he said he personally found on Free Republic and claims that they were posted here today.
I do not believe that. I doubt that he personally logged on to FR and I doubt he found any such thing posted here today.
Who knows what we may have missed and is buried deep in our archives of millions of posts, but our readers do a pretty good job of alerting us to anything out of bounds that is posted and we pull it. Also, one of our readers found a couple of the quotes he alleges, and if they are the ones O'Reilly is complaining about, he took them way out of context. They were simply quotes in the articles posted not statements posted by FReepers.
As soon as he provides me a list of the alleged posts and their URLs, I'll believe him. If he doesn't... then... well, guess he'll deserve to be known as what he is.

It sounds more like he has a personality disorder...and a serious one at that. I’ve not seen that sort of thing posted here.
I think he’s trying to give himself cover because he doesn’t have the links he claimed to have.
I watched the clip on you tube, he was very vague when he cited those examples of hate speech. He didn’t give any user names, no times of postings, and no names of the articles the comments were posted to.
Like his bud, Dan Rather, he completely fabricated his evidence.
“I stopped listening to OReilly when he once attacked Jesse Helms for no reason other than to show liberals that he would also attack people on the right. I knew there was no there there after that.”
You summed it up nicely. My father in law watches him every night, but I don’t much care for the guy at all. Guess that makes me a “hater”, eh Bill?
This latest dust up brings to mind the crusading opportunist of the comic books, J. Jonah Jamison, so I guess right now Free Republic is his Spider-man.
I guess his philosophy is something akin to: If I cannot be relevant myself, then I will attack what is relevant so I may seem so.
I agree, in order to at least appear “fair and balanced” he continues to make us believe that he is above it all, a remarkable, open-minded and sensitive human being. Yeserday he dispalyed remarkable skills at naming Motown recording artists from the 60’s. I’d pay money to see Mr. O’Reilly shufflin’ on the dance floor to “Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag”.......What a bunch of phoney, baloney double-speak not to mention patronizing and pandering.
Anyway to find out how many folks have joined here since Bloviator mentioned FR on his show? - #79, from Rb ver. 2.0From http://www.freerepublic.com/perl/weekday-report?r=s:http://www.freerepublic.com/perl/weekday-report?r=s #128, from Arrowhead1952
