Bill O'Reilly Slams Freerepublic

I recently tuned in to the Radio Factor to hear Bill O'Reilly saying that he was hated by Freerepublic and that it was an extreme right wing blog. First of all, Mr. O'Reilly is not hated. I have a lot of respect for the man, his honesty, integrity and point of view. What I don't like, as do many Freepers, is that when he is on target on some key issues, he is way off target on others. He needs to realize that we even disagree amongst ourselves quite often. I get my daily dose of talk radio, Rush, Dr. Savage, Boortz, Levin and O'Reilly. Why does he always have to thrash a conservative i.e. Ann Coulter in the same breath when he's zapping a liberal? Let's just say that when some of us disagree with him, he needs to be "de-spun" on occasion. It's called "tough love" Mr. O'Reilly. The Great Oz has spoken.

Every once in a while Bill O’Reilly goes loppy and needs to be straightened out. I think he thinks it helps him with his independent line — it doesn’t. We just turn him off for a week and when we get back he is fine.

I disagree, over the years there have been too many times when something he said is like a siren going off that he is not a conservative. Sometimes it felt more like I was listening to a leftie then someone on the right side of the political field.

I have never once had that feeling with any Rush Limbaugh show, not even a little. But plenty of times I have been very disappointed in BOR.

On May 18, Tony Snow made every attempt to "educate" Hugh Hewitt on the merits of the Comprehensive Immigration bill in the Senate. I read the transcript and, sorry Tony, I didn't buy it; nor did Hugh; and, as it turns out, it was not an acceptable solution for a great many Americans.

As White House press secretary, Tony has to promote and defend his boss's views. That is his job.

Frankly, I'd be fired within a week or two. No way could I go along with ANY idea that I oppose.

This is in no way a criticism of White House press secretaries. Very likely they concur with the policies they explain.

Bill is an admitted computer-illiterate. He should not speak about that which he does not know. He is spinning.

And yes, FR is not a blog. It could be considered a message board as you say but I think it is more exactly a conservative forum.

I don't watch him a lot, but I remember on several occasions he seemed very uninformed about the issue he was talking about. I can understand him not doing his homework, but you'd think his staff would do it for him.

Funny thing is, I don’t see Bill O’Reily mentioned very much here, Rush and Hannity and Boortz and occasionally Laura Ingram, but not BOR.

I like the Dennis Miller segments on Wednesday, but Bill cuts him off right when Kant and a Banana Peel punchline is about to be delivered.

Now if one combs through FR, I’m sure some unflattering things may have been said about Bill O’Reily, but AFAIK, there is a prohibition against the use of profanity here on FR.

Maybe he has a persecution complex?

With all our thousands and thousands of daily posts, it’s naive to think every one of them can be deleted in a nanosecond. IF HE WANTS THEM DELETED ANY FASTER MAYBE HE NEEDS TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE CAUSE, LOL!
