I’ve spent time on the Sea of Cortez, and the Humboldts are out there; the Mexican fishermen are very leery of them and do not swim at night when the squid are most active also, they are drawn to lights). Any academic who says they aren’t dangerous would probably tell you GW sharks aren’t dangerous either. I would not want to be in the water with either.
