Sometimes it only takes one tequila for me to hit the floor.

Actually, I didn’t know the mouse had that feature, until I pushed the small red button on the left side of the mouse.

Took me an hour to figure out how to turn it off.

Kind of cool, though.

I’ll have reading material ... not to mention family and friends. I’m perfectly happy to stare into space and do nothing for minutes at a time, too - until I’m interrupted by, “You have to take me to the bathroom!”

"(Don't know who "Matilda" or her father are, but I recognize "Danny DeVito as an actor, comedian I think -- but teeeveee or movie?)"

"Matilda" was a movie made a few years ago, with Mara Wilson as Matilda and Danny DeVito as her unscrupulous father, (and the story narrator).

It is an adaptation of the book "Matilda" by Roald Dahl. It is very charmingly instructive about good and evil, the power of kindness versus meanness and greed.

Entertaining and somewhat educational for children. A fun movie.

That sounds interesting. I’m not a big fan of Roald Dahl, but I’ll keep an eye out at the library for the movie.

Anoreth and Tom are watching “Air Force One” this evening, and Bill is cleaning the kitchen (unsolicited!) and listening to “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” on CD.

I’m gone for the night, ganag!

Sorry to say, Ganag was still asleep, it being something like 5 to 6 AM in India.

But goodnight, anyway.

Rest assured; it changes.

First it becomes; “You have to take me to the mall!”

Then it becomes; “You have to take me to my boy(girl)friend's!”

Don't know about "tequilas" but in the past couple of decades I've had two or three margaritas -- don't know about hitting the floor but if I did I guess I won 'cuz I'm still standing and the floor isn't!

None of my offspring likes the mall. I get, “You have to take me to Guitar Center!”

Margaritas I can handle....

At the beach parties in Hawaii, on the rare occasions our boat was in port, some fool would always bring a bottle of tequila. So of course we all had to stand around in a circle and take shots until it was gone. Don’t like to waste even bad liquor.

Be sure of the space wherein you stare. I have a bad habit of doing that, mentally completely disconnected from anything in field of vision while I think on other things, and it has in the past caused me grief when folks think I am staring at them. (If they move and see that my eyes don't track, they may understand: I'm not looking, I'm not registering.)

"I’m not a big fan of Roald Dahl, but I’ll keep an eye out at the library for the movie."

Roald Dahl was an interesting and complicated man. Most of us may not be aware of his friendship with Ian Fleming.

This biography is worth reading.

Try some, if you need to check your gag reflexes.

Very interesting! I remember seeing his “Piece of Cake,” about the RAF in 1940, on PBS.

I plan to stare out the window at Lake Norman, or at the mudflats that used to be Lake Norman. It depends on the rainfall upstream!

Okay. No need to try, what with my hyperactive gag reflex. It's not for me. I'll stick with whisky, the Nectar of the Garden of Eden! And oh by the way, Ga\idhlig, Scots Gaelic, is also reputed among the Scots to be "The Language of the Garden of Eden." *\:-)

I don't need to check them; I'm all too familiar with them.
