Oh, jeez. I hope they can boot him on a morals clause, just so we can avoid that!

I read through the indictment posted on ajc.com. What these punk thugs did to those dogs is so sick and horrible.
They should all do prison time and Vick should NEVER play another down in the NFL. Shame on the Atlanta Falcons and Arthur Blank if they do not cut this despicable human being loose.

Agreed. I was sick reading the part of Vick himself MURDERING the one dog.

Well they do have Joey Harr....oh you said a DECENT quarterback. Sorry.

Depending on how Vick’s contract is structured and what the NFL does Blank might not cut Vick for a while. That’s the reason the Titans haven’t cut Pacman, while he’s suspended he doesn’t count against the cap but if they cut him parts of his salary would count. Moral statements are important but there’s still a business to be run, no reason to take a cap hit if the league is handling the punishment.

Well at least their new coach will have a good shot at drafting his college QB next year.

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH! Man do I feel sorry for Falcons fans.
Living in Atlanta (although a Cowboys fan first), I think most folks will not shed a tear if Vick vanishes from the team for good. He has systematically exhausted the massive amount of goodwill he started with when they brought him here. This is simply the final and obviously the longest straw.
To: discostu
Well I can understand some paperwork maneuvering, but bottom line is the Atlanta fans will not support this team with Vick out there on the field ever again. Especially when the specifics of that indictment come out. Hell, he and his posse murdered one dog by slamming him to the ground and killed others by strangling, electrocution, hanging, etc.
That place was the *doggie* version of Auschwitz (not equating the two please). They should turn it into a memorial to let everyone know how truly twisted and backward the dogfighting "business" is and that is has no place in a modern and enlightened society.

He’d have a much better shot winning a job there than Jacksonville.
To: over3Owithabrain
I doubt highly he’ll be on the field as a Falcon again, unless he gets acquitted which currently seems pretty unlikely. But I expect Falcons management will keep their mouths shut and let the league and the courts do their thing.

The first of the dog killings don't mention Vick but I read down and saw that there was at least one incident where he participated in the killing of dogs. Sad, stupid and sick behavior.

The most damning parts of the indictment involve the cooperating witnesses that are ALL placing Vick at the fights and involved at the kennel.

Indictments against an NFL player not on the Bengals? Is that even possible?
Ever hear of the Dallas Cowboys?

Is there a lawyer in the house?
Is any violation by Vick here considered a possible violation of RICO?

I’m not a lawyer...but I think this involves actions in 7 states...they crossed interstate lines...makes it a federal crime. Could be RICO.

An indictment?
That’s just the sort of thing that the Raiders and the Vikings look for in their players!
To: Dog
Yes, that was my interpretation too. Wonder why we haven’t heard the term tossed around in the media? (Assuming we are correct)
