**Freeper Kitchen**
This is a topic suggested by ken5050. He recommended this after seeing a number of food websites he had not seen before. Thought it would be an interesting discussion about what other Freepers like as far as food related web sites.
Oh what fun....new sites!:)
Well.....FoodTV.com is an all time fave but I also enjoy Kopycat.com if I’m trying to duplicate a recipe.
And who could forget cookingwithpam.com!
Look forward to seeing the responses!
I’m going to have to check out that chowhound link. Besides foodnetwork.com, I’ve gotten good tips from GourmetSleuth.com and Recipezaar.com. Found out how to make a reasonable substitution for creme fraiche and marscapone. Neither is available in any stores around here. Finally spotted anchovy paste in a tube at Stater Bros.

http://www.breakfastblogger.com/ (definitely my favorite)

http://www.thefoodpornographer.com/ (not many recipes but tons of porn)
One site that I recently discovered is
www.allrecipes.com.
I like it because you can type in ingredients that you have on hand and it will give you recipes containing those ingredients. I think it’s great for one of those I-haven’t-got-a-clue-what-to-cook days.
Also, www.leftoverchicken.com has some great recipes for - you guessed it - leftover chicken. Also, it’s great for recipes for one or two people.
This is a wonderful idea! Should keep me busy for awhile!
I like to put meals into the freezer but am not a once a month cooking person. I just like easy to freeze meals. So here are a few of my favorites related to that topic!

http://snider.mardox.com/plans.htm

http://www.recipezaar.com/ (This one is great for any recipe but has tons of OAMC recipes.)
http://oamc.8m.com/ (The “Dump Chicken” site...so easy!)
Hope these work for all of you!
if you hadn’t listed it, I would have listed the real food one and the snider one. lol. everyone else might want to look into the newsletters at realfood4realpeople.com
Well, obviously, if you can’t find creme fraiche or marscapone locally, there’s only one thing for you to do..move..(g)
I love to lurk at Chowhound.com. Lots of leftys there, though, especially in my area.
It’s fun to read the local restaurant reviews. A recent poster shared that she choose a place because they advertise on Air America and have “fair” labor practices. Thanks for sharing lady. Now I know where NOT to go.
Hahaha, no I like it up here in the wilderness :)
I just went through the site briefly, and I detected a definite whiff of liberalism. The site looks good, but I’m afraid that the info is not aimed at someone like me.
Ping to self
I just checked out tastespotting. Bookmarked! I found a recipe for pickled watermelon rind. Don’t laugh, that stuff is yummy! If I get a chance to make it, I’m going to add some chopped fresh ginger for some added zing :)
I’m glad you liked it! I love these sites.
My favorite is Recipezaar.com.
Jessie's Heirloom Key Lime Pie
My pie
Ah another recipezaar fan
Mine too - I keep threatening to sign up and post some of my favourites but never seem to have time.
