Protesters to converge on North America summit

Activists already are preparing to protest the third summit meeting of the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America, a trilateral initiative between the U.S., Canada and Mexico seen by critics as a major step toward a North American Union, according to WND columnist Jerome Corsi, author of a new book on the subject, "The Late Great USA."

The meeting, which has received almost no mention in the U.S. mainstream media, is scheduled for Aug. 20 and 21 in Montebello, Quebec, at the Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello resort.

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper is scheduled to host the Quebec summit, which will be attended by Mexican President Felipe Calderon and President Bush.

I just got this by e-mail. The letter from 1997 is what really stood out for me. I’m not familiar with the author. Comments?

http://www.stopthenorthamericanunion.com/TwoActsOfTyranny.html

“Enclosed is the information you requested pertaining to the Army’s policy and guidance for establishing civilian inmate labor program and civilian prison camps on Army installations. This information has not yet been published (it is currently at the printers) however, it has been funded, staffed, and does reflect current Army policy.”

Nothing directly on a North American Union but some links that may (obliquely) have a bearing on the matter:

Here is an old thread, but read the posts, especially my exchange with fdsa2 and the response from other posters on that exchange:

The EU constitution: a guide to its key features

The there is this - a more "brainy" consideration of the EU and transnational organizations and democratic governance. However, I highly recommend it, and I think there is more than a grain of truth there.

The success of the EU

And......most of the country is clueless....

Thats the truth. As long as this is portrayed as tin foil hat, the elitists win, which of course, is what they want.

I am not sure if people are clueless out of fear, they just don't care, or maybe the will to fight it just takes too much.

If they don't see it, they will end up carrying a lot of guilt.

If the immigration bill is any indication, they wont’ stand for it- once they realize it’s happening.

The media blackout is nearly universal. Even talk radio hasn’t really picked up on it.

PPH, this progression of control in the EU confirms what you’ve posted exactly. First, economic preeminence, then political and societal.

If we make any advances in abortion law, tax law, limitation of government, etc. it can all be undone with a NAU treaty.

This is not something to which we can afford ignorance.

Go to www.spp.gov (that’s right - gov) and see what Bush has planned for your children.

I went there, and found SPP Comment Form ^ and got HTTP/1.1 Application Restarting for my trouble. Have they disallowed Citizen participation? Wouldn't surprise me!

Thanks for the ping, ovrtaxt; put me on your revised “OKC/911 Connection” list, please.

If the immigration bill is any indication, they wont’ stand for it- once they realize it’s happening.

Those in talk radio know about it. They are like many others. They are also subject to ratings.

If they talk about it they might get labeled tin foil hatters and start losing out. That could be why they will fight it in piece meal like the immigration bill.

I believe that we cannot fight this piecemeal. It would be like trying to plug holes in a giant wheel of swiss cheese. You plug one hole and there are thousands of others.

To fight it, you would have to expose the whole concept, show how, where and why the whole thing is being initiated. After that you would have to explain how current legislation and even those involved are doing it.

Truth is, this hasn't been happening over night. Movement on this has been happening over many years. People don't want to believe it, so they will continue with little party politics, not seeing that elections will not matter much and the person they elect will get away without expressing that he or she is really a part of it.

Keeping this from happening will be very tough because it already is, they no longer even go to great pains to hide it. People are so conditioned to scoff at the notion that it makes implementation a piece of cake.

The future doedsn't look to bright for our kids.

They do not want our input, or our opinion. I don’t think fixing that feedback form is very high on their to do list. According to nicmarlo, they will not release the list of government officials who are actually working on this.

“They don’t want them disturbed”. Can you believe that crap?

I think the list of Senators who voted for amnesty are a good place to start, and Bush’s cabinet heads- especially Rice, Gutierrez and Chertoff.

All I have found so far on SPP is: http://www.spp.gov/

My question is what actions can be taken by this group without the approval of our Senate and House? If they are going to work on security of our borders, fine with me. Just wonder what their goal is?

The goal is a North American Union. The SPP is basically NAFTA on steroids, a trade environment for the continent. That’s the first stage. Later, political and societal integration.

At least that’s how it happened in Europe.

This is why the amnesty thing didn’t compute for so many politicians. Mentally, they are already on the NAU agenda, We The People be damned.

Yes, I think it is in the works, and that the supporters will do all they can to pass it, whether as one treaty or as bits and gobs slipped into legislation which will be virtually guaranteed to pass (budget bills and the like).

The constant babble about a 'North American Union' is an indicator of something going on behind the scenes.

Real and definable symptoms of the forthcoming attempt at the imposition of such come from the lack of progress on a border barrier on the US/Mexican border, even though the presence of a real, physical barrier is evident to most anyone as a first step.

The prosecution, conviction, and incarceration of Border Patrol Agents without apparent consideration of commuting their sentences or of pardon also indicates a lack of resolve in addressing border issues other than to erase the borders.

Shipping interests and other global concerns which stand to make a huge profit from international trade (read: the destruction of American manufacturing) are all for being able to unload the container ships where there are no longshoremen's unions, no environmental regs, etc.

The popular science version of the NAFTA Trade Corridor, under whatever name, has been floated repeatedly.

The imbalance has been created here for their profit, with shipping costs apparently less than the cost of handling goods here.

That our security, at least what passes for "National Security" as we now know it, will further suffer from an open borders policy goes without saying.

This leaves us open to terrorist attack, which gives government another reason, should it happen, to rob us of our rights here at home (not to mention expand at our fiscal expense).

We need a passport now to go in and out of Canada (It wasn't that way not so long ago.), but the southern border remains a walk-in proposition.

Billions are not being spent on Canadian anchor babies.

In the end, the mishandling of the southern border's permeability and failure to address it cannot be attributed to mere incompetence.

Too many column inches have been devoted to the concept of securing the border, too many webpages, too many people have done what they could, and the Congress has been told in no uncertain terms what the people think of illegal immigration, pandering to illegals, and the status quo, for this to be anything but an intentional and planned act of undermining our national soverignty.

Every day they delay the problem grows worse, and the worse it gets, the greater the cry of "We can't fix it, it is too broken!"

For those Socialists and Globalists, I can only take a page from one of their playbooks and remind them that "The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step."

I think the first and foremost thing we have to do is push for the fence.

It has become more than a physical barrier, but a symbol of soverignty, of resolve to remain one Nation, not an entity subservient to yet another set of masters who rule with the force of law without any electoral recourse.

[For once that extra government is established, the next step is to tax us to pay for another government we do not want or need, and you can bet that is probably part of the plan as well.

There are already a bunch of us ticked off at the money which is extracted from our economy to keep the scallywags and criminals of the UN ensconced on some prime real estate. Pay for another government? one which will guarantee the loss of more American jobs and wealth? No way.]

Once the fence is built, deportation will have meaning. For all practical purposes, the border is a revolving door now.

That’s because, in 1996, Al Gore got the Telecommunications Act of 1996 passed. It allowed the foreign ownership of the media, and for media companies to amass medial outlets to become the sole owners in almost all the markets of every media company.

When you have foreign corporations, and in the case of the UAE for example, foreign governments owning our media, you won’t get ‘fair and balanced’ reporting. You’ll get reporting that degrades the American people, promotes the entertainment outlets owned by the massive media corporations, and propaganda that promotes the globalist view.

At about 500 BC, when Athens had been converted from a tyrrany to a democracy, the free men who were allowed to vote used to gather in the twon square, agora once a year to select which (not whether) of their leading politicians they would exile.

By the entrance to the square lay piles of broken ceramic. Every citizen, registering his vote on a piece of pottery, was obliged to chose a prominent politician's name. At the end of the day, all the shards - "ostraka - were to be sorted into piles and counted. The citizen with the largest number of nominations would then have ten days to leave Attica. He would not, as exiles had once done, suffer the loss of property or civic rights - but not for ten years would he be allowed to return home. He was to remain, as the Athenians put it, "ostracized.

We forgot that custom when demcocracy was instituted in the 19th and 20th centuries. Maybe time to bring it back.

Communist Goals (1963)

http://www.uhuh.com/nwo/communism/comgoals.htm

Congressional Record—Appendix, pp. A34-A35

January 10, 1963

Current Communist Goals

EXTENSION OF REMARKS OF HON. A. S. HERLONG, JR. OF FLORIDA

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Thursday, January 10, 1963

Mr. HERLONG. Mr. Speaker, Mrs. Patricia Nordman of De Land, Fla., is an ardent and articulate opponent of communism, and until recently published the De Land Courier, which she dedicated to the purpose of alerting the public to the dangers of communism in America.

At Mrs. Nordman’s request, I include in the RECORD, under unanimous consent, the following “Current Communist Goals,” which she identifies as an excerpt from “The Naked Communist,” by Cleon Skousen:

[From “The Naked Communist,” by Cleon Skousen]

CURRENT COMMUNIST GOALS

1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.

2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.

3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.

4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.

6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.

7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.

8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev’s promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.

9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.

10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.

11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)

12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.

14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

18. Gain control of all student newspapers.

19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.”

23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.”

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious crutch.”

28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”

29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”

31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.” Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture—education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.

36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].

39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use [”]united force[”] to solve economic, political or social problems.

43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.

44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.

45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.

Note by Webmaster: The Congressional Record back this far has not be digitized and posted on the Internet.

It will probably be available at your nearest library that is a federal repository. Call them and ask them.

Your college library is probably a repository. This is an excellent source of government records.

Another source are your Congress Critters. They should be more than happy to help you in this matter.

You will find the Ten Planks of the Communist Manifesto interesting at this point.

You know the super-secret SPP, NAU, and all of its revealed/unrevealed permutations, is a dictatorship.

Because key laws are made, and adjudicated, not according to the Constitution, but out of sight of the people, by a small, select group of unelected, unremovable, government functionaries with life tenure.

I am not an advocate of the violent overthrow of our government, but they better never try this or there will be a massive bloodbath. This would make the Revolutionary War and the War Between the States look mild by comparison.
