Doc I hate to break it to you but many distros are as easy to set up and use as Windows what Linux need(ed) was an OEM to back them (most people dont install windows). Maybe Dell will give them the in they needed.

Maybe Dell will give them the in they needed.Easier actually. In the case of SuSE Linux Enterprise Desktop, it took less time as well. Some hardware drivers (such as those for HP printers) were far easier to install under SuSE than they were under Windows XP.
As the hardware supported increases, so will Linux use. The price (even for Enterprise editions) can't really be beaten by Micro$oft.
