A good soundtrack is apart of what makes the movie great for me.
Natural Born Killers has all of the elements of a great movie.
Ennio Morricone rocks!
If you never heard the Conan soundtrack, it’s right up there with the spaghetti westerns, I recommend it highly.
Freegards
I also love Citizen Kane, Once Upon a Time in the West, Patton, The Conversation, and many other classic films. It would be too many to list here.
Just tried..heard about 2 secomds and I can't listen to any more.
However, I feel "The World At War" was a much more resounding TV track.

2 seconds out of literally hours of music hardly does it justice.
I've never seen/heard "The World at War", so I can't comment on it.
Pirates of the Caribbean
Star Wars
The Wanderers
Jaws
The Wind and the Lion
Patton
Lord of the Rings
Animal House
Congo
Fantasia [the original one]
Bonus choice: Lady and the Tramp
Richard Rodgers and Russell Bennett did create a musical masterpiece for the series....
Another Enio Morricone I believe.
Beautiful movie.

How can anyone forget the terrific movie soundtracks to the movies “Fandango”, “Dances with Wolves”, “2001: A Space Odyssey”, “Jaws”, “The Godfather Parts I and II”, “Risky Business”, “Saving Private Ryan”, and all other movie soundtracks composed by either John Williams, Henry Mancini (The Pink Panther), or Bernard Hermann (Taxi Driver, and many Alfred Hitchcock films)?
(Theme by Elmer Bernstein.)
New 60's style music. Tom Hanks.
A lot of good ones listed here. From “The Last of the Mohicans”, “2001”, “LOTR” and “O Brother Where Art Thou”.
I would also throw “The Commitments” into the mix.
My faves (Original/substantially original scores, not collections of pop songs):
Raintree County - Johnny Green
The Bad and the Beautiful - David Raksin
The Big Country - Jerome Moross
How the West Was Won; How Green Was My Valley - Alfred Newman
East of Eden - Leonard Rosenman
Best Years of Our Lives - Hugo Friedhofer
Lots of scores by:
Dimitri Tiomkin - Duel in the Sun, Friendly Persuasion, I Confess, ...
Elmer Bernstein - To Kill a Mockingbird, ...
Casino
Goodfellas
Oh Brother Where Art Thou
Dawn of the Dead (remake)
Desperado
Pulp Fiction
Resevoir Dogs
and Chariots of Fire
