EL PASO, Texas -- Texas-El Paso coach Mike Price was expected to be released from a hospital Friday after doctors implanted a stent to relieve a blocked artery in his heart.
Price, 61, was being seen Thursday for routine tests when doctors discovered a significant blockage in one of his arteries, said Angela Olivas, a UTEP spokeswoman.
Doctors performed an angioplasty and inserted a stent to increase the flow in the artery, which carries blood away from the heart. Olivas said the nonsurgical procedure went smoothly.

I hope he gets to feeling better, I always kind of like UTEP for some odd reason.
Prayers for Coach Price. Texas Tech plays them Sept 8
Here at work we’ve got a few Washington St. alumni that thought the world of Price. That TTU/UTEP game should be a good one
WhyisaTexasgirlinPA, per our previous conversation, I’d consider almost anywhere in TX except for El Paso. Based on 3rd hand info, I’ve heard it’s a rough town.
I’ll freepmail a few friends who can give you some info - best of luck!
I was at Bliss for a few years and there are definately some areas you don’t want to be in El Paso, a few times me and some guys ran into the wrong type of people at the taco place at the west end of Ft. Bliss off of the 54, luckily nobody got hurt.
