Good morning!
The BBC is calling ALGore's concert in London a "foul-mouthed flop" and showing pics of all the trash left behind.
Wildfires continue in the dry, hot west.
Good morning to all..........partly cloudy skies in Hoosierland and very warm......I will be working in the garden and yard this morning.
My tomato plants are so heavy with tomatoes, I had to do some bracing of the branches yesterday....some tomatoes are turning pink....sure looking forward to eating tomatoes right out of the garden.
Molly and Lysie, thanks for your faithful work for all.....I enjoy the cyber breakfast and the interesting links.
Pink 'maters...Yippee. A few more days and they will be delicious.
Thanks for the reply.....you are such a “dear heart”....don’t ever change.
My family is scattered all over this wonderful country of ours....so I do spend some time most mornings sending out e-mails and keeping in touch....it is nice to have the cyber family too......I am like Toby...they mean a lot to me also.
There is an added bonus with the cyber family here at ATRW..I can follow all the news...and get heads up on important events.......like “Edwards doing the poverty tour”!!
Who “woulda thunk” that Edwards could relate with poor. His haircuts cost almost half as much as our yearly electric bill. We heat with propane.
Well, if the BBC said that about AlGore’s concert, it must’ve been a real stinkeroo. LOL!
Morning folks, we are back in “civilization”, IOW the festival is over. What a fun time we had!
Trying to catch up on laundry and getting the dust OUT of the camper and back outside WHERE IT BELONGS!
:^)
“I Know Where I’m Going” sounds like my kind of movie.
Thanks for the heads-up, Molly.
Got some Japanese Beetles this morning. They’re creepy.
So glad you had such a good time at the Festival, Prairie.
Where to next?
Quick good morning before I head out prior the 90+ degree temps. Back later. I will not be out long.
Good morning, PB.
Morning everyone!
Actually, we’re going to be heading to another festival, LOL! This next one will have to go a long way to match what we just attended, in fact I don’t think it can, simply because it’s a smaller and less known event and won’t have the level of national talent this last one booked.
It’ll be fun though and what groups are there will be enjoyable. That’s happening the weekend after this coming one.
In the meantime we are re-grouping. After this next festival our intention is to cut a CD at an old friends house who has put a full recording studio in his back yard.
Free professional quality studio time, won’t that be somthing?!
:^)
Major bummer!
Someday....someday.
Toby, where are you?
Toby, where are you?
Missing you, too..D.
HOB, I can't help you with your quilting question...I just started doing this a few years ago, and am strictly limited to the quilting part, i.e., stitching the quilt top to the back and the "insides" once it all gets on the frame. Others produce the quilt top. That's beyond me, for sure, and I really have no great urge to learn that part.
2 of my cousins are excellent at that tho!
My suggestion is to sign up at a fabric store near you for a class.
A friend told me a horror travel story this a.m.: she and her daughter were returning from Iowa via Minneapolis on NWA...Severe weather caused the plane to leave late from Minneapolis to CLE. That wasn't so bad, but then when they arrived here their bags weren't on the plane. Well, they arrived an hour later...not too bad.
The clunker was the bags and all contents were soaked thru and thru! YIKES! So my friend got home late, and then decided she couldn't sleep til she'd coped with that mess...
That’s right, and when we babysat or worked during Christmas vacation, Easter vacation, we didn’t keep our salaries, we turned it over to Mom, who kept the teapot jingling, and she gave us our allowance at the end of the week. We even gave our lawn mowing money to Mom. We didn’t think anything of it. Everyone we knew did it. And when someone needed anything and came for help, help was always given. It always came back in some way. Too many today are all for me, just me. This is diversity...
HELP! I forgot how to increase the print size on my ‘puter.
Hi till....Well on my browser, I hit the selection “View”...scroll down and pick the Zoom function to increse the print size...Hope this helps!
