My Dragonfly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

If Its So Easy, You Do It
Poetry is oh so very easy they say
like raising wild purple orchids
in the desolate Mohave desert
or teaching an acrophobic pig to fly
Anyone can say they get pork in the sky
or have prize winning exotic blossoms pert
amid the drifting sand if they just so bid
until they are challenged to try it today
If youve no soul thats tattered and fey
a bit ragged from lifes sadness and hurt
you must struggle to touch the muse, kid
and fail before you even begin fates way

Good morning everyone!
Sleepy July in Skipwith Common
Stephen Patrick,
Across the open common land
shines glowing purple floral blooms
The bumble bee can hardly stand,
as flowers' scent is rising fumes
And lies there in the summer shade
a resting deer quite joyfuly
for in this beauteous sunlit glade
all's observed by sent'nel tree
This tall oak stands by sparkling stream,
whose water splashes grass and rock,
reflecting in its azure gleam,
the woodland plant and dandy clock
While goes beneath the cloudless sky,
amidst a warm and dreamy breeze,
a squirrel idling, passing by,
past numerous, careless, floating seeds.

Great muse to greet the day, thank you!

AS swallows turning backward When half-way o'er the sea, At one word's trumpet summons They came again to me - The hopes I had forgotten Came back again to me.
I know not which to credit, O lady of my heart! Your eyes that bade me linger, Your words that bade us part - I know not which to credit, My reason or my heart.
But be my hopes rewarded, Or be they but in vain, I have dreamed a golden vision, I have gathered in the grain - I have dreamed a golden vision, I have not lived in vain.
Robert Louis Stevenson

Superb! Thank You.

We arrived at the concert
bought snacks and decided to buy souvenirs
Later
Lights down, multimedia up
and three Canucks in their 50s took off
Lots to think about this time
Age, the great sundown of man and mind
is as much on display as musicianship
What are all these old people doing here?
"We need to take a break because of our ancient-ness"
"Rock out?" not with my 40+ cervical column
The guitarist has jowels,
the drummer looks like Mr. Magoo
and the bass player looks like Uncle Ira
Well, at least he still has all his hair
Yep, Let's face it, it ain't 1985 anymore
Even the music is thought evoking
"Nobody goes to Heaven without a fight."
True enough, but I'm going to the "golden years"
without one
either
