My Dragonfly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

What a delightful poem!
I am resting from my yard commando duties in the front yard..It wasn’t going to get any cooler..so I finally attacked it.

Cactus are easy to grow, if you can stand the barbs that come with some of them. I had one so full of small dart like prickers I could not pass by it without getting a barb! Gave that thing away fast.
I like the dry desert air, maybe it would not be so great if I lived in it all the time, don't know.
I guess I must enjoy crabbing about Northeast weather. ;)

For some reason things just grow. I took an old what presumably was dead bamboo piece, placed it in water and left it alone for 8 weeks. It started to sprout leaves.

I really am going to have a strawberry shortcake - as soon as I bake the biscuits for it.

I think both plants are called succulents, they thrive on water. Cacti store water in their leaves,
bamboo is a reedy, grass like plant.

Thanks hon, but I'm just an old chunk of coal, I am going to be a diamond someday. ;)
You're gem like yerself ya know.

My friends in TN have a large bamboo forest on their farm, I was amazed, I thought it grew only in Asia.

Some of it I severely wounded..but it will recover to need trimming again! LOL
What I did kill was a long outdoor extension cord while not paying close enough attention when trimming the hedges. Thank heavens I have another so I could finish..That’s the first time I ever nicked one.

I’ve seen bamboo forests here and there and they’re neat.
I get a kick out of the sound bamboo makes when there’s a wind.
