Looks like it’s going to be this way pretty much all week. I’m chilly clear to the bone! The house is pretty cold too, but I refuse to turn the heat on just yet. I do need to stock up on fire wood though.

Men ‘shop’ as well.
They observe the HDTV, they stalk the HDTV, they carefully note it’s movements, size, danger, and price.
And when they buy it, it is analogous of killing it and dragging it home.
And then it is on to the next hunt.

To: Darksheare
LOL! Yes; I expect that is true in some cases. In others, the men send the wimmin to stalk the HDTV.

"Instead of butterflys I had some very pretty purple morning glory vines hanging from the trees." I actualy still had hummingbirds as of this past weekend. Latest I've ever seen them. I always note on my calendar my last hummingbird sighting of the year and before this, October 12 is the latest.

"I don´t want to turn the heat on so I just put on my jacket.: I won't do a jacket in the house, but I'm not turning on the heat either. I've switched from my usual shorts/tank top lounge and sleepwear to my fuzzy, fleece pajama bottoms and tank or cami top, with a nice, soft, warm cover up thingy that I bought on my way back from Kentucky. Kind of a cross between a pajama top and a robe/jacket. And soft, warm socks.

"I just turned the oven back on for the 3rd or 4th time today. I bought one of those oscillating, tower heaters a couple of winters ago. That was a great investment. Provides a lot of heat in a room, and saves a lot of money. I've used the central heat far less since I bought it. I'm thinking about getting another one so I don't have to move this one around...my living room and bedroom are on opposite sides of the house. Those are really the only rooms where I use it.

Hi, Gran,
just getting a little caught up after a long time away..that photo of your daughter’s boyfriend is really nice. For my birthday the hubster gave me a nice NikonD80 and since then I have added 5 lenses..and been shooting away. Our local paper here has photos from around the county and I actually got one published...it is of my cat Mr Peepers doing evening yoga! Digital is so much nicer than 35mm though there is use for film too.
Been absent for a long time..life has been hard here..the hubby had heart surgery two years ago and ever since it has been something else..a month ago he had femoral bypass done so our trip to Italy was canc...thank goodness for trip ins! Will try to pop in more often..I see there are new members to our old gang and some oldtimers are back...
Cheers. CG

Hi CG,
I have the older version, the Nikon D50 with a extra 300mm telephoto lens. Plus of course my ever faithful and smaller Canon G2.
Yes digital is fantastic we can all be experts now.
Sorry to hear about your husband, I had a trip to the specialist a couple of months ago and am on meds for my heart too.

...shorts/tank top lounge and sleepwear to my fuzzy, fleece pajama bottoms... I would look funny wearing fuzzy fleecy PJs around the house, we men have to be more serious than you wimmin.
Wimmin look good wearing anything or nothing.

Good morning everyone. Just a quick pic done in watercolor, and then off to the Dentist to get my new caps, crowns and bridges. Now it's time to make reservations for our trip south. I'm exercising my wings as I type. ;)
I hope I didn't post this one before...I'm soooo confused!
To: grannie9
It’s still warm enough to FReep naked here.
Sorry about the visual...
