Just thought I’d drift by and say hello to everyone. Has anyone heard of Westy’s whereabouts or demise?

We've been unable to contact him for quite some time. No response to FReep mail, email, snail mail or phone calls. We suspect the worst.

We have a tough schedule for the rest of the season and so I'm counting on Michigan to knock off Ohio State :) I fear Ohio State's name recognition will keep them in first place if they win the rest of their games... no matter their schedule or how badly they might play or how well the rest of us play.

Sorry to hear about Hart. Hope its not serious. It looks like Early Doucet might actually play for real this weekend. He has been out with an injury since the first game. Our quarterback could use his help.

The Kentucky-Florida game should be a good one. Both quarterbacks are legitimate Heisman contenders.

I just read an online poll in a local, conservative, business magazine concerning 2 upcoming events in Louisiana this weekend, the race for governor and the LSU-Auburn game

The Question: Who would you rather see win on Saturday? LSU or Bobby Jindal ? (Jindal being the republican front runner)

Results: LSU 53%, Bobby Jindal 46%

"Has anyone heard of Westy’s whereabouts or demise?"

Never did hear anything definite one way or the other. Just speculation.

"The Kentucky-Florida game should be a good one. Both quarterbacks are legitimate Heisman contenders."

I have to tell you about the "redneck" wedding. Sister's boyfried, besides having a biker bar, is an ordained minister. On Saturday afternon, he was performing a wedding on the porch of the bar. The bride and groom were both drinking a beer and the Kentucky/Louisiana game was playing in the background....so all I could think of, and couldn't avoid commentary on was, "if you're drinking a beer while saying your wedding vows, you might be a redneck." And, "if the background 'music' for your wedding is the Kentucky Wildcats game, you might be a redneck."

You can't make this stuff up.

Perfect.

If you are text messaging while saying your wedding vows, you might be a geek.

"store bought" / "looking up" / "peek-tures" / "flat or what" / "two for one" / "overboard or believable" /"as long as she's happy"

All of which are phrases that describe my thoughts as I was patrolling the almost empty beach last weekend. Things were indeed looking up from the lady who lay on the sand less than three feet from where one normally walks beside the water. As she was face up, arms extended above her head and bare from the waist up, I had to retrace my steps several dozen times just to make sure that I hadn't been hallucinating.

sorry nully ... no peek-tures

Poor pup; not much action these days, eh? Not to worry; the snowbunnies will be flying south for the winter soon enough.

I think that was a Vandy girl hallucination sent to torture you after your petulant and juvenile beloved Dawgs stomped on Darlin's alma mater's seal at mid field.

Mornin, Cardhu?

How are you this morning?

Just learned the city is going to build a road through my house.

Gotta move. Spent 22 years fixing it up just the way I like it.

Oh, Well.

Hi Sundog,

I am fine I just got off talking with my daughter in CA.

Sorry to hear about your house being taken for a new road. That is not good news you will have to fight them to get a good price for it.

Where do you think you will move?

LOL! Is there a link? I think that one is right up there with wearing a tube top to a wedding (come to think of it, there were some tank tops at that one) or popping the top on a beer during a eulogy.

Good timing :)

He has a three hour radio program called the Foxworthy Countdown. He tells lots of his funny stories, Larry the Cable Guy always calls in, he interviews country music stars, takes calls from listeners, etc. Very entertaining. Listeners often have anecdotes similar to yours. I doubt it is a live show so no idea when it might be broadcast in your area. Its aired here on Sunday morning. I usually listen to it in the car on the way to/from church.
