Colanders are more useful than many people realize, but you can’t write the Cub Scouts’ schedule on one.
We have a calendar in every room - I lose track of the date easily!

I posted this earlier on another website... I guess it fits here too:
On this day, instead of posting a cutesy graphic...
I would ask that each of you take a moment to sit down and really think about what the word "independence" means to you. Exactly how independent are you? From government. From whatever crutches you use to get through a day.
How much better off would you be if you didn't need that dependency.
Let's not forget WHY we have this holiday to begin with...
After that, hoist a class, light a roman candle, and enjoy your 4th!

Oooh, fireworks!
I watched the big fireworks display in town last night. Although, it didn’t have the same effect as displays normally do - I suppose it’s because I’ve seen various firework displays from the neighbors for a while now. At least my place has remained in one piece!

Happy Independence Day!
Thinking of all this nation has accomplished in the world for the good of others, it is unthinkable that we should back down now.
Don’t back down!
Tell your friends and neighbors.

I know a “secret” spot to go to near Disneyland...right underneath the fireworks display. Have to get there before 6pm though to get a good spot. Very worth the wait though. The last 2 years the show was over 45 minutes long! The kids love it.

The display last night was 18 minutes. Shorter than displays I’ve seen before.
I have to go. Bye for now!
