It’s OK...my son used to say “elephants” and I just couldn’t resist using it myself, since he was on my mind a lot yesterday.

Ya know? I used to work in a camera shop, but I’ve forgotten every darn thing I ever learned. I still know how to point and shoot, but I’m hoping to get a digital so I can learn how to do things like the big boys do. *sigh*

The North Carolina forum is discussion computer operating systems. We seem to have a high proportion of seriously geeky folks.
I hope you’re reading!

I have such a hard time with technical stuff it isn’t funny. There are only certain times when I can assimilate any of it, and those times are few and far between
The bad part is that I never know until I try it, and I’m either pleasantly surprised or thoroughly disgusted.
(I had to shut down a while ago because a fast moving storm came ripping through here. Did I miss anythng?)

I meant that I hoped you were reading Harry Potter!
Nothing happening around here. We went to the library and then had lunch, and I ran four mile. I have to go to Wal-mart later.

Oh. I thought that’s what you meant, but I can never trust my comprehension. *blush*
I’m at Chapter 23, page 502. I should have it done tonight, if I don’t fall asleep again.

Well, the viewpoint I captured was from a small turnout a vista point on the west side of Hwy 97, just south of a blip in the road named Grass Lake. Sorry for the delay. Hit the ground running this morning and just came up for air.
But that's the place!

End of the month. Traditionally, time to move to a new thread. Yup. We're running a little late on that.

but Im hoping to get a digital so I can learn how to do things like the big boys do. *sigh* Sounds you're better off with the so-called "lower-end" cameras which are easier to use.
They're larding the more advanced stuff up these days with all sorts of complex features that aren't easy to use -- in part because they often aren't well documented, or they're hidden deep in some menu system.

I really need to get a digital so I can upload photos to a website.
It will just take me longer to learn, but I suspect there are still some older camera models that aren’t too advanced. I just have to find one in my category.

Probably. The Mavica was pretty easy to use — the biggest problem is potentially the floppy drive. Maybe eBay has something.
