My mother and several children really liked “Ratatouille.”

That would be crossing the amphibian line, eh?

It would need some kind of container other than the Tupperware, and it would have to eat something other than sludge.

And she wouldn't even get a "Reptile and Amphibian Study" merit badge for it!

Maybe we’ll go see it tomorrow if the evil hot weather holds.

They also saw “Surf’s Up.” That was more enjoyable for the 7-10 age group.

Thanks. As I’ve already started garnering a few “senior-citizen” discounts, we might not be as much interested. *\;-)

"They also saw “Surf’s Up.” That was more enjoyable for the 7-10 age group."

I will be traveling beginning tomorrow, and will likely be out of touch for a few days.

On the plus side, I will probably see the new Harry Potter movie during the trip.

I'm glad I was able to help with your literary search, Sionnsar. My Adams collection is not totally comprehensive, but it covers most of the early issues.

It's even less extensive in the Douglas and Cecil Wings.

NnBob, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your pointer. I look forward to posting the cartoons at work IF the new job comes through!

Safe travels!

I can’t remember who else has teen drivers, but here’s a case of Bad Example for them:

Imagine the misery of all the parents, knowing they could have prvented this by making their children follow the law.

Or at least taught their children that a cell phone is a tool, and not a toy. My daughter’s addiction to the cell phone is bad enough that her hubby got her one of those “Blue Tooth (?)” devices for when she’s driving. But still, talking on the phone is distracting.

Since my truck is a standard transmission, without power steering, I pull over to the side of the road to take a call.

“Bluetooth” is the device that attaches to the ear, yes.

Studies have shown that drivers are nearly as distracted by a hand’s-free device as they are by a handheld one. Something about talking on the phone (more than talking to a person in the car) takes a driver’s attention off the situation at hand.

Actually, Bluetooth is the name of the wireless communications used between the handset and earpiece. (Just like WiFi is another wireless technology.)

Just a drive-by before heading to church.

My daughter seems to think the minute she gets behind the wheel, she has to make a call. Scary.

And I’m just back from church. This is another of those days with air you can wear.

I’m not a phoning person, anyway. Most of the time I don’t have my cell phone in the car with me, since I leave it plugged in on the counter and forget about it!

We went shopping earlier, and Der Prinz decided he needed a third lizard. Oh, what fun! I got a knit outfit, navy blue pants and shirt, at the clearance sale at Dress Barn.

It’s hot and humid here, too. Bill’s mowing the grass.

I began to carry a cell phone right after I had to quit work. The CircleK store was getting in the new models and selling the old for $49 plus 100 minutes. So I bought it.

The first time I had occasion to need it, I forgot I had it, and trusted on Shank’s Ponies to get me out of a situation that could have been fatal.

So I keep it with me, now. Of course, I’ve upgraded a couple of times, so I now have GPS when my phone is on. Which I will need on the trip. :o]

Most of the time, I run out of time before I run out of minutes, but at least the minutes roll over. They didn’t when I first got it. Life is good!
