A child's tantrum on board a Delta commuter flight forced a pilot to make an emergency landing at Philadelphia International Airport.
Chopper 10 was over the scene.
The forced landing was caused by a fight over apple juice.
A 4-year-old wanted apple juice and when the stewardess didn't get it quick enough, the child threw a tantrum, NBC 10 reported.
The Delta commuter flight landed around 5 p.m. Tuesday.
The flight originated in New York and was headed to North Carolina before the incident.
Passengers were spending the night in Philadelphia, NBC 10 reported.
Authorities said there would be no charges filed in the incident.

Ahem. Perhaps a spanking is in order? If I were one of those other commuters, I'd be a mite peeved at Junior and his parent(s).

The kid now has the largest carbon footprint of any 4-year old on earth.

When my 2 1/2 year old daughter throws tantrums on airplanes--yes: it happens, despite all of our preparations, measures and counter-measures to prevent them--I deal with it myself, swiftly, discretely, non-violently, but effectively. No one ever has had to ground an aircraft. This must have been a DEFCON 5 level tantrum.

Definitely a good old-fashion application of the board of education to the seat of instruction is required.

The media should be careful reporting this story. Terrorists maybe paying attention.

Some brat screaming on a airplane is enough to make them land??? I think I’d be more angry at the airline then the child if I were on the flight.

The parents should have charges brought against them! You can't bring charges against the parents unless there was malice on their part.
They may be terrible parents but I doubt they either wanted or urged their kid to do this.
