Let try it again.. The first landing attempt will be at the cape at 2:18 pm est at the Cape.
Details of the launch can be found at Spaceflightnow.com.
“On CNN, Fox, C-SPAN, etc. you always have to listen to the ramblings of some clueless idiot reporter who likes to hear himself talk.”
I know what you mean. Everything was going smoothly, and about four minutes before touchdown, Shepard Smith, on Fox, said to the “expert” who was reporting on the flight, “Are they encountering any problems now?”
Gosh, why so negative? I had to switch to CNN. It really was better there...a beautiful landing!
Ahhhh......I see. Makes perfectly good sense.
Shep’s a drama queen
heh heh! Yep, now they get to re-enter the Matrix... “No fluids allowed, please.”
Thanks.
I wonder why land vehicles are not already there. They just announced they're opening up a door. Helicopter hovering overhead.
Wasn’t it awesome! That is the first time I’ve ever heard it when it has landed up at Edwards. Pretty cool : )
Space cooties. See Karl’s explanation...
That’s why the ground crew take their time approaching the shuttle, to allow the space coodies to dissipate
One of those helos is a AF SWAT team patrolling the perimeter...
I thought I heard a faint muffled sound, but hard to tell.
aliens
They must have some sort of alternate release system. If the regular system doesn’t work, they don’t have much time to take alternate measures. I’m sure that gear is in A-#1 running order before the boss signs off anything.
Yea it was a couple of minutes ago they said they were opening the umbilical door. Maybe it was a See Section?
Them guys too. :)
And the commercial jets are once again landing at John Wayne. It was SO nice & quiet without them....
hey Karl - were you watching with binoculars?
I saw her! Tried to get video but it’s just blue sky on the screen. Got the booms, though. :)
I didn’t see any accompanying aircraft, just a silver/sunlit streaky thing that zoomed east, then turned north. At that point, I lost sight.
Pretty cool!
Too cool lainie!!!!
I was using ACDSee program. I guess I should find out how to use the windows method.
Thanks Karl. What's the delay in ground vehicle approach? Voice announcer just said "we're going around for Ops 9."
