My Dragonfly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Any place away from responsibilities would be a vacation, wouldn’t it. I’m not picky.

You definitely have a point. There comes a time when one has to just kick back and let things go undone. People need to catch their breath once in a while. Take off their shoes and go walking during a warm rain fall and jump up and down in puddles if it feels good.

It is easier said than done, yet it’s so important.
I’ve been trying to get away for a couple days for weeks and haven’t been able to make it happen - and I’m retired!
Speaking of retired, I should retire to bed.
Have a good night.

Good morning ladies. I trust that you have rested well and had pleasant dreams. I am on my second cup of black Columbian coffee and about to wolf down a warm cinnamon bun. As a reminder; those that snooze, lose. 8^)

Wow! That's awesome, I love it. It looks better than the original I mentioned, as a ship so near a huge waterfall made you keep thinking of the ship plunging over!
Your picture is superb. I can almost think of a novel's storyline just to incorporate that picture!

Yes it is!
Talk about good karma, I got paid yesterday, but the amount was a bit less than I had calculated. In fact, it was exactly the price of the laptop I wanted to buy that night, give or take a couple bucks! But of course I need money to live on till next payday in two weeks, so I can't buy the laptop now.
I was sharply disappointed, but I tried to tell myself that holding on to the cash now was better anyway, as it's several month's expenses around here. Plus at this point they have nearly finished the Residency Visa, so if there were any catastrophic change in employment venue (unlikely), they would bargain the Residency visa (which another school can pick up and hold for me) in exchange for me leaving on good terms with good notice.
Well just tonight two of the yahoos tried some little pressure deal, it was pretty lame, one of my classes got a bit noisy, and they tried to pretend it was a madhouse, so they changed my next class at the last minute and gave me the quieter class. But it was the looks they gave, plus they tried these attitudes and curt sentences and body language, clearly trying to convince me it was this big deal (it wasn't, and the class went just as I planned it, just that those kids kind of shout when they read out loud, which I don't mind, as long as they read the material, which they were doing).
Well anyway, sitting there with so much cash in my pocket I just didn't care, and didn't have to stress at all. So I thought it was fortunate my pay day was just under the price for the laptop, instead of just over it, in which case I would have bought the laptop, but then been stressed out at politics the next day! So now I will be holding on to that cash until I have double that amount, it's so much more soothing than a laptop whenever someone tries to stress you out!

Take a vacation today with me
a fantasy castle we shall see
pack lite now a tooth brush and robe
no passport needed -we're taking the high road.
We'll drift around space on high puffy clouds
touch the face of Venus, and ride the rings of Saturn.
The moon will glow for her adoring crowd
as we tip our cups and toast her a new one
play in the stardust from dusk 'til dawn
catching the comets passing by
while having a golly good time.

You are very wise to hold on to your money now. You can do the Internet Cafe thing for a while yet.
Save a good chunk of money out of a few pay checks to buy your laptop.
I don’t know who you put up with their games, good thing you are on to their tactics.
Okay good to see you ;)
