Toby, we listened to Lott yesterday being “interviewed” by Sean Hannity. A statement stood out like leach on a fish. He said something like, “Yes, we make laws, but we cannot enforce the laws”. Which means our elected servants can’t do a darn thing, but bum money and free rides, shoot the breeze, write laws, give themselves raises, and make excuses. The appointed bureaucrats and their hirelings are the enforcers of the laws made by congress. So over the years congress makes all these immigration laws, and somewhere up the chain of “command” the ball is dropped. No one is to blame, because the chain of command is long and hard to follow. It’s the border guards who shoot the illegal drug runner in the butt, who gets into trouble and goes to jail.
I’m glad I’m in good company. Im stoopud tu.
Case 1: I wonder what the mr leiberson thinks of cnn, nbc, abc, cBS, msnbc, and cnbc? Evidently they speak what he wants to hear, so they are fair and balanced?????
Case 2: I think fitzgerald should be tried, convicted and disbarred for hiding information from the jury and press about armitege being the leaker of the so-called covert agent, plame, and asking both armitege and powell not to “leak” they knew he knew the truth.
As everyone here knows, I have little use for politicians, lawyers, and liberal presstitutes.
I was privileged to see the shuttle take off from Kennedy...that was right after 911 and the security was so tight...The shuttle rising into the evening sky was just breathtaking.

W., I just spent some good time looking at the weather my husband and son are enjoying (or not!). That map is really, really cool. The stuff is so detailed. There is very little unexplored in this world.
Evening. TGIF!!! I just got off work. Grrrr. My team was supposed to have code delivered today for a July 16 release. Then the date was moved to June 29. Then to July 5. The release date is still July 16. The project manager told me “You’ll just have to get the testing done and do whatever needs to be done.”
So I have another person to help and am organizing everything and trying to decide what NOT to test and make sure no customer ever finds a defect in what we didn’t test.
And I am going on vacation, starting June 30 and won’t return until July 9. I think that is the source of all my angst. I feel guilty about taking the time off, but I need to, and want to. And I’ve already paid real money for the trip.
I’ll probably work 4 hours tomorrow, and mucho hours next week.../whine
I so relate on a slightly lower level.
My day off today never happened.
Won’t happen for a while it seems.
I am trying hard to be a team player but I can’t for the life of me understand why incompetence at a slightly higher level is tolerated and even condoned at times.
Makes me want to hurl...........at the least.
My 3 year old nephew is a hacker! My sister keeps a tight rein on the computer in their home. She is trying to potty train the 3 year old nephew, so is bribing him with computer time to play games. I watched him Wednesday night and let him play on the computer. (I know the password, such power.) He had his 10 minutes, then I logged him off.
A few minutes later, he came and begged me to play on the computer. I’m a mean aunt, so I said “no”. He then disappeared and I discovered him on the computer. He knows the first 2 letters to the password and was trying to figure it out. I told my sister this and she laughed. Now I have to make sure he doesn’t watch when I enter the password...
I hear you. I don’t understand why someone can get away with a 2 week delay and not be held accountable.
Try 3 years of getting away with incompetence, willful delay, and plain out right lying.

One of my long haired hippy type, left wing friends sent me an email about the failures of democracy in the past. I had to write him back and tell him he’s voting for the wrong party then.
